Lovely to meet you! 🐾 A little bit about me 🐾 📸 I am a nature photographer and come from a family of pet lovers. I have lived my whole life with cats, dogs, horses and/or other small animals (at times it felt like a zoo!). I first started taking care of cats from other family members and friends once I left home for university. While the fur members of my family stayed at home, I felt lonely not having a furry face around for the first time in my life. 🐈 Thus began a now 10+ years stint as a dedicated foster cat mom/volunteer with various organizations! I have since found and helped place 20 cats in their forever homes and have loved every moment of it. You can rest easy knowing I have seen a wide range of temperaments and health situations to ensure a happy and healthy stay/visit tailored to your pet's needs. I have experience with special needs cats and am able to administer medication as well that can be further discussed 🐶 While I generally do cat sitting/boarding I also have experience with dog sitting/boarding, but due to my apartment being on the smaller side I am unable to accommodate larger breeds of dogs. Feel free to discuss this further with me as well. 👟 I live an active/clean lifestyle and have no problem accommodating your pet's exercise/play routine

I can’t say enough good things about Alex and the incredible care she gave my cat, Charlie, while I was away for a few weeks. Leaving your pet behind is never easy, but Alex made the entire experience completely stress-free. From the very beginning, she was attentive, responsible, and genuinely caring. She didn’t just “watch” Charlie — she truly looked after him. Alex made sure Charlie’s routine stayed consistent, kept his feeding schedule on track, and spent quality time playing with him and giving him attention. It was clear she understood that pets need companionship just as much as food and water. What meant the most to me was the regular updates. Alex would send messages and photos that showed Charlie relaxed, happy, and clearly comfortable. Seeing that level of care and thoughtfulness gave me real peace of mind. When I came home, Charlie was calm, healthy, and clearly well cared for — which says everything. I would absolutely trust Alex again without hesitation. She’s dependable, kind, and genuinely great with animals. Anyone would be lucky to have her care for their pet.
I couldn’t have asked for a better dog sitter! Alexandra is reliable, attentive, and kept me updated with regular messages and adorable photos. It was clear my dog was happy, comfortable, and well-loved the entire time. She even baked special healthy treats for him to enjoy. I felt so at ease knowing he was in her care and would recommend Alexandra to anyone looking for professionalism and peace of mind when it comes to their pet care.
Alex is one of the most caring animal lovers I have ever met. She took care of my frenchie Cleo while she was going through chemotherapy and was very diligent about her medications, feeding schedule and making sure she had lots of fun-time. She genuinely loves all animals and used to foster cats for years. Out of anybody, she is probably the most qualified to take care of your pet while you are away. I wouldn’t trust anyone else.

Schedule
As someone who is entirely self-employed I am able to tailor my schedule to your pet's routine so they can continue to enjoy the level of care and attention they are used to when you are home! It's already scary for a pet to see a new face and, where possible, their schedule shouldn't have to change much either just because you are away. I'm happy to work with their normal schedule to ensure maximum comfort and familiarity.

Safety, trust & environment
My Home: I have a quiet and comfortable home environment with no smoking, kids or other animals. When I am not travelling for photography, I work entirely from home so, generally, your pet will always have me around for dedicated companionship and spontaneous play-times on top of their routine schedule. This makes my apartment suitable for animals needing quiet environments or more attention. I generally recommend bringing any special dietary foods and treats your pet's needs during their stay/any particular brands of litter for cats. To help your pet feel more comfortable I would also suggest bringing some toys or bed/blanket they love that will remind them of home and ease their stay with me. I do have some of my own supplies I may be able to provide. That can also be further discussed depending on your needs. For dogs who are crate-trained, I do not have a crate in my home for boarding stays so please make sure to bring one for your pet. Your Home: On top of my nature photography I also work as a realtor at Rare Real Estate Inc. so I understand how important it is to treat all of my clients homes with respect and follow your house rules. When you choose me, you're not just leaving a family member with a professional animal sitter, you're leaving your home with a professional house sitter. This qualification adds a huge bonus to ensuring that access to your home is truly being left in the hands of someone who already comes vetted and checked.
