Pet care experience

Pets love vet students

I have pet‑sat for friends and have owned animals since childhood. I currently have two cats of my own, and I’m in veterinary school with hands‑on experience working with both dogs and cats in a clinic setting at school and in a veterinary clinic. I’m comfortable administering medications, including oral and injectable treatments. I’ve also worked with multiple cat rescues and have experience fostering. I would love the opportunity to do dog walks — staying active and walking dogs is one of my favorite ways to connect with pets.

Safety, trust & environment

I prioritize creating a safe, calm, and predictable environment for every pet. In a client’s home, I follow your routines closely — feeding schedules, walking routes, medication instructions, and any household rules your pet is used to. I always double‑check doors, gates, and leashes to make sure pets stay secure, and I take time to help them feel comfortable with me before we head out for a walk or settle in for a visit. With my veterinary background, I’m attentive to behavior, stress signals, and overall well‑being. I keep a close eye on how pets are feeling, and I’m comfortable handling medications, special needs, and shy or nervous animals. My goal is to maintain a safe, clean, and low‑stress environment so your pet feels cared for and you feel confident while you’re away.

Alexandra was a wonderful sitter for my kitty! She followed all the instructions to a tee and was very communicative about the daily visits. She also took the time to play and snuggle with my kitty, which was really enriching! I will most definitely be rebooking her for future sittings!

Alex has been an incredible cat sitter over the past 2 years. She has watched my cats multiple times, and every experience has been smooth and reassuring. She frequently sends thoughtful updates, which gives me real peace of mind while I’m away. Alex is also very responsive and communicative. She’s quick to reply to messages and always reaches out if she has any questions about my cats’ routines or needs. It’s clear that she genuinely cares about the animals she looks after and wants to make sure everything is done right. I trust her completely with my pets and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, attentive, and caring sitter.

Alex is an animal lover through and through. Shes wanted to be a veterinarian since she could conceptualize what a job is. She is patient and kind. Understands animal behavior more than the average person. Which will help with any issues that arise, while helping her stay calm and caring.

I can’t recommend Alex highly enough as a pet sitter. She has cared for our Shiba Inu, Nia, and our cat, Loki, and every time we’ve come home, it’s clear how loved and well looked after our pets have been. Alex has an incredibly compassionate heart and a natural connection with animals. Nia can be a bit particular (as Shibas often are), but she warmed up quickly thanks to Alex’s s patience and calm energy. Loki, who usually keeps to himself, was also comfortable and relaxed in their care—which says a lot. What really stands out is Alex’s attentiveness and genuine passion for animal care. She went above and beyond to make sure routines are followed, pets feel safe, and owners feel reassured. Knowing she is pursuing a future in veterinary care makes perfect sense—she already show the empathy, responsibility, and dedication you’d hope for in someone caring for animals. We trust Alex completely and would gladly have them watch Nia and Loki anytime. Anyone who books them through Rover is in very good hands

All pets have their own special quirks, and I love getting to know what makes each one unique. I appreciate being informed about any special needs, medications, or routines your pet has so I can keep their day as smooth and familiar as possible. It’s also important for me to know your pet’s likes, dislikes, and comfort zones. Any additional information you feel comfortable sharing helps me give your pet the best, most personalized care
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
