I'm a lifelong lover of animals. My partner and I adopted two 50 lb rescue dogs from Streetdog Foundation, which has a very thorough vetting process for their adoptions. One of my own dogs is extremely leash reactive, so I am comfortable and confident with other selective pups. My dogs are well-trained, and I know how to be a firm but loving guardian with them. I also have an elderly cat, so I'm well-versed on litter box maintenance, feeding schedules, play time, and recognizing any health concerns. I've also previously taken care of dogs, volunteered at rescues, and pulled strays from the street for over 10 years. I have experience with dogs as large as a 100+ lb Husky-German Shepherd mix, pitbull-type dogs, etc. to teacup Yorkies. I've owned a dog with severe anxiety so I am comfortable taking care of them as well. I trained 3 different puppies growing up who all have a bag of cool tricks now! Overall, I'm a responsible, passionate animal lover and advocate. Your pet's safety is my #1 priority!

Safety, trust & environment
I live in a Midtown apartment. I'm happy to take your dog to Overton Park for walks/runs on the trails in the Old Forest or to Overton Bark dog park (if allowed). If you would like me to work on specific training and correcting behaviors with them, feel free to let me know. With cats, I'm happy to refill food & water, have some playtime with toys, brush or pet, and empty litterboxes. I can also water your plants, check your mail, bring in packages, etc.

Alex is amazing! She came before I left to meet all my animals, and they immediately loved her. She provided an update every day with details about how each pet was doing and included much loved photos. My dog is big and an independent thinker, and she had no issues with him. I would recommend Alex to anyone needing a pet sitter!
Alexandra has been fantastic. The boys really took to her and she is great. We have two future visits already booked and will confidently continue to book with her. Highly recommend!
Alex is great, it is the second time she has watched our babies, and they love her. I loved seeing the pictures too
This is my first time using Rover and also my first time leaving my cat when I travel. Alexandra was absolutely incredible with explaining how everything worked and took really good care of my cat while I was traveling. And my cat loved her!
Alexandra was super sweet to our cats & dogs, sent lots of pics, and was very reliable. We felt at ease leaving town knowing that our animals were in her care.
Alex was fantastic and my babies loved her. I would book with her again for sure when needed.

Schedule
I'm a young professional employed full-time in the Medical District. My availability is currently more flexible later in the week & on weekends. I'm free for drop-ins and dog walking in the mornings before 8:00 am, evenings after 5:00 pm, and all day on weekends.
