Pet care experience

Animal Whisperer since day one

Animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember! I was born into a house with two Rottweilers, and they helped raise and protect me for the first 6 years of my life. After they both passed, we adopted two cats and two rabbits. I learned how to train domestic animals with my two rabbits and learned that taking care of cats is a constant treasure hunt. I have experience caring for dogs (up to 5 in one household), cats (up to 7 in one household), birds, rabbits, rats, mice, hamsters, tortoises, lizards, snakes, and fish. Additionally, I have a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science and am a licensed Wildlife Biologist. I have spent time researching and studying bird populations in Wisconsin, Utah, Arizona, and Sonora. Most of my job as a wildlife biologist involves working closely with animals and reading their body language quickly to sense stress and proactively make the safest decisions that will benefit the handler and the animals involved. As a young adult in February 2024, I adopted my own puppy. I found her in the desert in Sonora while I was conducting a survey, and now she is part of the family. She is just over 2 years old, well-trained, and gets along great with both female and male dogs, if playdates or group walks are something you are interested in! *Conversational Spanish Skills

Pets

Safety, trust & environment

Providing safe and optimal care is my top priority. I will always double-check doors and locks to make sure your pet and home are secure. I have experience tidying up after unruly pets and crate training. I will always make sure your pet receives ample cuddle time and play time, in order for them to feel relaxed while they are alone. If requested, I can bring my dog for a playdate!

Dog Walking • Feb 08, 2026

This was my first time using Rover, so I was a little nervous about leaving my dogs with someone new. But Alexandra immediately seemed sweet, trustworthy, and a true dog lover, and I’m so glad I trusted her! She sent photos during the walk, followed all their needs perfectly, and was super punctual, communicative, and reliable. She even brought a package inside for me. Such a great experience, I definitely recommend her!

Alexandra was awesome! We booked her for a multi-day walk for Maui. She was great with Maui and super communicative with us, and took tons of photos. Will book again.

House Sitting • Jan 30, 2026

We had such a great experience with Alexandra taking care of Pepper! She kept Pepper on her schedule, gave her lots of playtime and attention, and made us feel totally at ease while we were away. We especially appreciated all the updates and photos as it was clear Pepper was happy and well cared for. We’d absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a thoughtful, reliable sitter!
