Information Alexandra C. would like to know about your pet

Ahead of your dog’s stay we ask you to come for a meet & greet, so your dog can have a good sniff about & familiarise themselves with us & our home. It’s a chance for us to fill out your Client Information Form, which tells us a little bit about you & your dog. The more we know about routine, feeding, temperament, likes, fears, the more we can help them to feel at home with us. We can have a cuppa whilst we chat too. WE ASK THAT ALL DOGS ARE FULLY VACCINATED, FLEE'D & WORMED PLEASE. And that you provide certificates to confirm this please. This is to keep all of our guests safe & happy. *Well trained on lead please. Unable to take strong dogs who pull.

A typical day

A Typical Day: We start our day with some breakfast and a nice walk in the local area.. We listen to your dog’s needs in terms of exercise & play. Our first walk is up to an hour or so, this can be on or off lead at your discretion. Then we come home for a little snooze (the dogs not humans!).. Playtime usually includes some ball games or water play in the summer.. Cuddles are always available. And we sometimes have a second walk in the afternoon. Evenings are for playing with my children and cuddles on the sofa. In the winter we have the fire lit, it’s really cosy.

Pet care experience

Licence Number 15107, Alexandra Colley Hello, I’m Alex and I love looking after dogs alongside our own Lulu the Cavapoochon & Ted the Cavapoo. This is my full time professional job & I dedicate my time to keeping your fur babies happy, safe & healthy during their stay with us. Based at home in our Georgian Farmworker’s cottage, between Sherborne & Dorchester in Dorset, your dogs are treated like one of our own in our clean & tidy home, no kennels or separate rooms, tailored schedules to your dogs’ feeding & exercising routines & varying walks in the gorgeous local countryside. Available to help 7 days a week we have a large secure garden to play in, I’m Licensed for 4 guests at a time, fully insured, DBS checked & canine 1st aid trained. We love to play with our guests (I have 2 teenaged sons who join in) & they get plenty of cuddles. We also go to the coast for walks, depending on your dog’s abilities and needs. Dogs can sleep alone, crated or with the pack anywhere in our home. We want them to feel comfortable. All we ask is that you bring their lead, food & any medication, we’ll do the rest (beds & bowls optional at your discretion). We’d love to meet you prior to confirming a booking, please do get in touch to arrange a “Meet & Greet”. Messages answered between the hours of 9am-5pm.

This was Gwens first time away from the family and we were worried as she's quite a sensitive dog. Alex was amazing with her, she gave us regular updates and Gwen thoroughly enjoyed her stay. Lots of lovely walks and lots of playing ball. We have no hesitation in using Alex again and thoroughly recommend her. Thanks again Alex and family

What a wonderful pain free experience it is leaving your dog with Alex. She is a genuine dog loving person and this is apparent as soon as you walk into her warm and welcoming house. I was able to go on a last minute trip as Alex was so accommodating over the Xmas period. I was kept up to date with my dogs walks, food etc and felt completely at ease. Alex has recently had her back garden re fenced so the dogs are dlwsys safe. I would highly recommend this lovely lady. My dog was very content to stay with her.
