Hiya, I’m looking forward to meeting you and your tiny floof very soon! As a former Dog Mom, I have cared for and loved my own crew of three little Yorkies (Pacha, Suzi & Chevy) for 18 years. In their senior years all my kiddos had their own special needs from restrictive diets, medication, dementia, mobility problems, and vision loss. With each of them living to about 16 years old, I was lucky to have so much four-legged love in my world. As a result of a lifetime of Yorkie love, I am well-accustomed to handling high-need pooches with specific feeding requirements, medications, and frequent potty breaks. I know every tiny dog has their quirks & I'm ready for it! After over 3 years on Rover providing top-notch care for your dogs, I am now excited to announce that I have recently moved home to Portage from BC and have purchased a home on the edge of town backing onto a beautiful meadow. My property comes equipped with large spaces inside and out, including about 200ft of fully fenced in backyard to contain all your pooches' zoomies! As a mature, responsible and trustworthy dog sitter I understand the importance of having all the necessary information about your pet. That's why I always ask for your vet's information, any food restrictions, treats allowances, or things that may trigger any anxiety (like the evil vacuum). I also appreciate knowing about your dog's quirks and preferences so they can have the best time possible with me.

We had a great 1st experience with Alexandra and our Rover care with our dog Mya. Alexandra is very experienced taking care of other people’s dogs. Mya took to Ali right away and went off exploring in her yard and then in the house. Great, location, fenced big yard, safe and tidy house, dog accessories like illuminated collars for night time potty time in the yard. Quiet neighbourhood. Ali responds to messages with quick response time. Our minds were at ease with leaving our dog Mya.

As a self-employed individual who works from home full time, I can offer nonstop attention and companionship for your furry family member. I am available around the clock and can prioritize your dog's schedule throughout the day (and night!)

My 2500 sqft fully air conditioned home is in located on a quite corner in Portage La Prairie with an enormous fully fenced backyard that backs onto a beautiful meadow. My home has all the necessary amenities to ensure your dog has a comfortable and enjoyable stay (See amenities list below). If your dog has any specific needs or preferences, just let me know and I'll do my best to accommodate them. My space comes equipped with: Pet beds (2) Food & water bowls Pee pads Doggie steps (2) Fabric-sided XL kennel Puppy blankets Toy box with tiny toys Treats Spare leashes Spare harness for size SM/XS Poop bags Doggie backpack carrier Furbo webcam Brushes Pet Shampoo All you will need is your pup, food, medication, and maybe a favorite toy for familiarity! I look forward to receiving your request and booking our first meet and greet. I can't wait to meet you and your furry friend!
A typical day
Welcome to my home where your furry friend's day begins with a royal snuggle in a king-sized bed. After our morning romp in the expansive backyard, it's breakfast time in the puppy club room. A short commute into the room next door to head to 'work' from my basement home office for the day. Throughout the day, your pup can choose from cozy puppy beds or plush couches while I work from my workstation. With access to the pup club room and the inviting basement living room, complete with toy baskets and beds in each space, comfort is just around every corner. In the summer my spacious backyard beckons for stretching, pee breaks, and playful runs. Winter brings tea time in the upstairs living room, featuring a big picture window and a perfect pup-sized poof strategically placed in the window for daily Paw Patrol street-watching. As I rarely have meetings outside the house, your pet will bask in constant companionship. Cuddles and quality time are guaranteed from morning to night. From start to finish, your pup will receive the star treatment in a low-stress environment, ensuring you can enjoy your time away worry-free. By the end of their first visit, it'll feel like a home away from home! I'm excited to meet you and your floof very soon and welcoming your kiddo.
