I’m available Mondays and Friday–Sunday, with the exception of Saturdays from 2–4pm. I’m also available late Tuesday evenings, and I’m generally flexible with timing for earlier or daytime visits when needed. I’m happy to work with your schedule to make sure your pet gets consistent, reliable care.

For walks and drop-ins, I really focus on keeping dogs comfortable and sticking to their usual routine. On walks, I adjust to their energy level so they get good exercise but stay safe. For drop-ins, I can feed them, refill water, play with them, and follow any specific instructions (including puppies or crate routines if need be). I’ve cared for a lot of different dogs, so I’m good at adapting to their personalities and love getting to know them. I’ll also always send updates and photos so you know they’re doing well! Vassar college is also a beautiful campus (and very large) so I can take them on a good, quality walk.

Please let me know if your dog has any special needs, medical conditions, or behaviors I should be aware of (like anxiety, reactivity, or specific routines). I’m comfortable working with a wide range of dogs, including puppies and senior dogs, and I’m happy to adjust my care to fit their individual needs. I especially enjoy working with friendly, active dogs, but I’m also patient and attentive with dogs who may need a little extra time or support, as I have both I high-energy puppy as well as a senior dog who needs to go very slow back home.
A typical day
I’m currently living on Vassar’s campus, so I’d love to take dogs on walks around campus and the surrounding neighborhood. I also like to include playtime and enrichment during visits, like fetch, longer walks for high-energy dogs, or just hanging out and giving them some attention. I always like to adjust based on the dog’s personality and energy level so they feel comfortable and have a good time.

I grew up with dogs and have two of my own, including a puppy I recently trained, so I’m great with both high-energy dogs and basic training. I’ve dog-sat for neighbors many times, including overnight stays, and always focus on keeping pets comfortable, safe, and on their routine. I’m very reliable, detail-oriented, and will keep you updated with photos throughout!

I have two goldens and Alexandra does a wonderful job taking them out and making sure they are sleepy by the time they get home. She has previous experience in dog training as well so not only does she take care of my dogs on these walks, but she also helps with their behavior! I would recommend her to any friend. She can also walk multiple dogs at the same time which is nice for larger pup families like mine!
