My partner, Rebecca and I have been caring for dogs and other pets for many years, and since joining Rover in 2024, we’ve loved being able to provide our support to even more pups in our local area! Together, we make a reliable, friendly, and hands‑on pet‑care team with experience across all ages, breeds, and personalities, from lively puppies who need structure and stimulation, to older dogs who appreciate a calm, gentle routine. We have both grown up with dogs, and friends and family have trusted us for years to walk, feed, bathe, and look after their pets. We bring that same level of care to every dog sitting or Rover booking. We work as a team to ensure every pet receives plenty of attention, affection, and consistency. Whether it’s long walks, fun playtime, following a detailed care plan, or offering a safe and cosy place to relax, we always treat every pet like part of our own family! With both of us caring for your pet, you get twice the support, twice the reassurance, and a truly personalised experience your pet will feel comfortable with from day one. We love getting to meet new dogs and we look forward to getting to know and cuddle yours!

Alex has looked after our dog on multiple occasions. Our dog has always been happy and relaxed on our return, so I can tell she’s been well looked after. I trust Alex completely to look after our dogs wellbeing. He is very conscientious, caring and reliable and he genuinely enjoys the company of dogs. We do recommend Alex completely!
I would highly recommend Alex, and feel comfortable leaving my dog in his care in the future. From talking to him, I could tell that he is down-to-earth, sensible, and understands what animals need to feel comfortable and safe.
Excellent service, really has built a rapport with my dog such that there is no stress when i drop her off and i have the confidence she is going to be well cared for. I have used Alexander for over four years and would highly recommend.
He is a caring lad. Would never harm a fly. Loves animals. He has experience looking after his own dogs and is a reliable and trustworthy human being. Personally I think he is a man worthy of applause. Simply being a nice guy is a rarity in this day and age and Sir Alex Stephens is a prime example of one. I cannot imagine a better person to look after a dog.

Schedule
My partner and I both work in Monmouth, and our routine is really flexible, which makes fitting pet care into our day very easy. We can either work from home or bring your dog into our small family run and dog‑friendly office, where there are always people around, so your pup will get plenty of company and attention throughout the day. Because of our setup, we’re able to offer lots of walks and regular outdoor breaks, and we adjust our schedule around each pet’s needs. Flexibility is definitely one of our strengths whether your dog prefers a quiet day at home, a busier office environment, or a mix of both, we’re more than happy to make it work. Your dog won’t ever be short of company, stimulation, or affection!

Safety, trust & environment
We do everything we can to make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and looked after at all times. Whether your dog stays with us at home or joins us in our dog‑friendly office in Monmouth, they’ll always have company and plenty of attention. We’re used to working around different routines, so we’re happy to follow whatever setup your dog is used to — feeding times, walking schedules, crate training, or quiet time. Our office has people around throughout the day, so your dog will never be left alone, and we’re able to take them out for regular walks and breaks. At home, we keep things calm and cosy, and make sure the environment is safe, tidy, and suited to each dog’s needs. We’re always mindful of doors, leads, gates, and anything that might be a risk, and we keep communication open so you know exactly how your dog is doing. Your pet’s wellbeing is always our priority, and we treat every dog as if they were our own!
Pets
A typical day
We love keeping dogs both physically and mentally stimulated. We spend lots of time playing games, providing enrichment activities, and offering positive, gentle training throughout the day. We love long walks and hiking, so excitable and high energy dogs will be well cared for! For calmer, older, or lower-energy dogs, We are equally happy to take things at their pace — enjoying shorter walks, slower sniffy strolls, and plenty of relaxed companionship. We also love teaching fun tricks, playing ball, and creating stimulating games that suit each dog’s personality. More than that, we love doggy cuddles and can appreciate all dog behaviour and personalities. We will care for your dog as my own!
