Hey! My Name is Alex, I am a 24 year old biology graduate living back at home whilst I kickstart a career in ecology! I have had pets most of my life ranging from hamsters and guineapigs to dogs and bearded dragons! At the moment I have a 2 year old Lagotto called Chino that I have had since he was a puppy. I have always been an animal lover of all shapes and sizes and enjoy getting to know their personalities! I am familiar with taking care of a wide variety of animals, I even looked after coral whilst on my marine biology degree placement working for the Australian Institute of Marine Science on the Great Barrier Reef! I have spent plenty of time studying animal behaviour too so I am only half joking when i say that I can read your pet's mind! At the moment I am working as a seasonal ecologist meaning much of my work is short (~2-4h) surveys in the evenings and remote work during the day. My work format means I can be quite flexible to fit your pets routines and needs. Additionally, with my background I am very used to following intricate procedures with high precision, I take great care in following your instructions whether it be the timing of medication, strict diet or just ensuring walks are long enough! I love being around animals of all varieties, taking care of people's pets brings me as much joy as I hopefully bring them! P.S. I also have my own horde of house plants so am very happy to look after yours!
