I designed this to be the kind of place I always wished existed for my own dogs. When I needed care for Frank and Peri, I was never completely comfortable with the idea of them spending their days running through a stranger's house, jumping on furniture, or sleeping in someone else's bed. I wanted a place that was professional, safe, active, and built around what dogs actually enjoy. So that's exactly what I've created. We operate more like a boutique daycare and boarding facility than a typical home stay. Dogs spend their days in a large, flat, fully fenced backyard designed for play, exploration, socialization, and relaxation. They have plenty of room to run, places to nap in the shade, constant access to fresh water, and caring supervision from me and my staff throughout the day. A typical day starts around 6:30 a.m. with outdoor play and activity, followed by a midday rest period and more socialization and exercise in the afternoon. In the evening, dogs settle into the Dog Den, our dedicated sleeping area designed specifically for their comfort and safety. The goal is simple: a place where dogs can be active, social, safe, and genuinely happy while their owners are away.

My home is designed to be a safe, comfortable place for dogs to be dogs. The property features a large, flat, fully fenced backyard with plenty of room to run, roam, play, and explore. There is always access to fresh water, shade, and comfortable places to rest. Dogs are free to move between indoor and outdoor spaces throughout the day while under supervision from my staff and me. At night, dogs sleep in a dedicated room we call the Dog Den. Dogs may sleep in their crate if that's what they're accustomed to, or comfortably outside a crate if preferred. Owners provide their dog's regular food so we can maintain familiar routines and avoid digestive upset. Whether your dog is a playful youngster, a laid-back adult, or a beloved senior, we strive to provide a safe, loving environment where they can relax and feel at home while you're away. I'll care for your dog the same way I care for Frank and Peri—with attention, patience, affection, and respect for their individual personality and needs.

It is helpful to know about your dog’s personality, energy level, daily routine, feeding schedule, sleeping preferences, and experience with other dogs. I also need to know about any medical conditions, medications, allergies, and anxiety. Dogs should be house-trained and comfortable spending time around other dogs. The more I know ahead of time, the easier it is to provide a safe and comfortable stay.
A typical day
6:00–7:00 a.m. — Wake-Up and Morning Potty Break We start the day around 6:00 a.m. Dogs head outside for a bathroom break, fresh water, breakfast, and a relaxed start to the morning. 7:00–10:00 a.m. — Morning Yard Time The dogs get plenty of time to run, explore, wrestle, and play in our large fenced yard before the day gets too hot. Dogs who prefer a slower pace are free to relax inside or find a comfortable spot outside. 10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. — Rest and Quiet Time During the warmest part of the day, activity slows down. Dogs can nap, play indoors, chew on toys, or rest wherever they feel most comfortable. Those who want to can keep playing outside. 2:00–6:00 p.m. — Afternoon Playtime As the temperature cools, the dogs head back outside for more yard time, supervised play, and plenty of attention. 6:00–9:00 p.m. — Dinner and Wind-Down Dogs are fed according to their normal schedule, followed by a final evening play session. The house gradually settles down for the night. 9:00 p.m. — Bedtime Dogs are not kept in cages (unless they are more comfortable in one) and are free to sleep in one of the many beds in the dog den. Our schedule is flexible. Dogs are generally free to sleep, relax, and play throughout the day, and we adjust activities based on each dog’s age, energy level, personality, and normal routine.

I've had dogs my entire life and currently share my home with two Miniature Schnauzers, Frank and Peri. After 20 years in Moraga and now as an empty nester, I have the time and flexibility to focus on something that brings me genuine joy—spending time with dogs. I started offering care because I could never find a place where I felt completely comfortable leaving my own dogs. My goal is to provide the kind of environment I would want for Frank and Peri: plenty of outdoor time, freedom to explore, comfortable places to rest, and lots of personal attention. I've cared for dogs of all ages, including many senior dogs, and I welcome potty-trained puppies. Along with a small team of trusted staff members, we focus on keeping dogs active, supervised, safe, and happy throughout the day. Every dog is treated like part of the family while they're here.
