I also like to understand their temperament, energy level, and how they typically interact with people and other animals. Knowing any triggers, fears, or behavioral quirks is very helpful, as well as their favorite activities, toys, and treats. For dogs, I appreciate details about leash manners, training cues, and walking preferences. For cats and other pets, I like to know how they prefer to be handled and when they want space. The more I know ahead of time, the better I can keep your pet comfortable, safe, and happy while you’re away.
A typical day
A typical day with me is structured, attentive, and full of fun. I start with a morning toilet break or walk, followed by breakfast and fresh water. Throughout the day, I make sure pets get plenty of attention, exercise, and mental stimulation, while also respecting their usual routines and energy levels. Fun activities depend on the pet’s personality and needs. For active dogs, this includes walks, playtime with toys, games like fetch or tug, and outdoor exploration (weather permitting). For more relaxed pets, I focus on gentle walks, enrichment toys, cuddles, and calm companionship. Cats get interactive play, brushing (if they enjoy it), and plenty of quiet bonding time. I always prioritize safety, comfort, and positive reinforcement, and I’m happy to follow any specific instructions or routines you provide. My goal is to make pets feel happy, secure, and loved while you’re away.

I've had pets in some capacity for most of my life. I absolutely love animals and relish any opportunity I can get to spend time with them. At the moment, I am unable to have a pet unfortunately due to housing restrictions. I have pet sit for a variety of different animals across the UK. From large to small, friendly to... less friendly, I have experience across the board.

Very friendly,and lovely,Kody loved him and was very very looked after.Walked Kody in the evening he can be a bit of an handful when you take him out the front door ok once you are in the park. Looked after the house wonderfully. I wouldn’t hesitate to book Alexander again. I recommend Alexander to all if you are considering a pet and house sitter.
Louise Alex has often looked after my Scottie dog Beryl , his had while I’ve been on holiday & for a few days at a time. Alex is very much an animal person , Beryl adores him & I couldn’t think of anyone else I could leave her with . He is very good at making sure she is exercised correctly & is a very good making sure her proper diet regime is adhered too.
