Availability
Our home is built around a consistent, dog-centered routine, and we extend that same level of care and structure to any pets staying with us. Alex is a full-time teacher and is home during the summer months, providing plenty of daytime supervision, companionship, and care. When he is in the school year, we maintain a balanced schedule with reliable coverage and regular check-ins throughout the day. Kyra works full-time from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM in a dog-friendly workplace, which allows for flexibility, occasional breaks, and at times bringing our own dog into the office. Each day starts with a morning walk, breakfast, and potty break, followed by structured care throughout the day, including afternoon exercise, enrichment activities, playtime, and attention. Even during the workday, dogs are never without a predictable routine and are set up for comfort, rest, and stimulation.

We provide a warm, structured, and enrichment-focused home where dogs are treated like part of the family. We are a married couple living in a quiet, dog-friendly neighborhood next to the Brooklyn Park Community Park trails, making it easy to enjoy regular walks and outdoor adventures. We have one friendly dog of our own who loves playmates, as well as a fully fenced backyard and plenty of indoor space for play, rest, and relaxation. We welcome dogs into our home as part of the family, including allowing them on furniture for comfort and bonding. For safety and structure, we prefer crate sleeping at night and always ensure dogs are settled into a calm, secure routine before bedtime. All dogs are fed separately to avoid any food-related stress, and we’re attentive to individual needs and preferences. We love incorporating enrichment into each dog’s stay, including puzzle toys, training games, and interactive play, alongside daily walks and outdoor time. Our goal is to provide a safe, comfortable, and engaging environment where every dog feels at home and well cared for.

As fellow dog parents, we know how important it is to find someone you can trust with your best friend! My husband and I have both grown up with family dogs and have experience with a variety of breeds, personalities, energy levels, and care needs. While we weren’t the primary caregivers for our family pets, we were actively involved in their daily care, including feeding, walking, playtime, training reinforcement, grooming, and providing lots of love and attention. For the past three years, we’ve been proud dog parents to our own pup and have continued to expand our knowledge of positive reinforcement training, enrichment activities, exercise, and creating a safe, happy environment for dogs. We understand that every dog is unique, and we strive to provide personalized care, plenty of affection, and regular updates so pet parents can feel confident and at ease while they’re away.

Alex and Kyra are wonderful pet owners! Their dog Trent is so well taken care of, they are always giving us advice on different fun ways they find to engage their dog and keep their mind stimulated. They just recently took care of our golden retriever for a weekend and took her on lots of walks, sent constant updates, and gave her lots of love. Would highly recommend them!
Kyra and Alex are truly exceptional people and outstanding pet caregivers. They have a natural gift with animals of all shapes and sizes, and they took incredible care of my dog, Maple. From daily walks and endless games of fetch to showering her with love and attention, they consistently went above and beyond to ensure she was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. What I especially appreciated were the daily updates and photos, which gave us peace of mind and allowed us to see just how much fun Maple was having. When we returned home, it was clear she had formed a special bond with them—she barely wanted to leave her new best friends! I cannot recommend Kyra and Alex highly enough. They are responsible, trustworthy, compassionate, and genuinely passionate about caring for animals. Any pet would be lucky to spend time with them.
