We also have a two year old daughter who has grown up looking after dogs and loves them. She knows to be gentle with them and we are always super cautious. +Traditional cottage that’s clean, bright and surrounded by woodland and fields. +Spacious, enclosed private garden to rear of property. +Regular picture and video updates (normally via whatsapp) +Very flexible with times and logistics. +Two carers for the price of one - both my wife and I work from home. +Experienced in administrating canine medication (e.g. eyedrops, eardrops, wound dressing and joint care). +Experienced with puppies as young as 6 weeks and dogs as old as 17 years. I (Alex) grew up on a farm in Scotland surrounded by sheepdogs - which I miss greatly. I have a lot of experience working with difficult and stubborn dogs of all breeds (from 2kg to 50kg+). In fact, I used to help my father run training courses in dog agility and basic obedience back in Scotland. We are both true dog lovers and happy to take care of any breed, size or age. Daycare and Boarding: In our home, any dog is allowed wherever they like and will be welcomed as part of the family (however we are happy to follow any rules provided by owners such as 'no dogs on the sofa' etc). For those a but anxious about keeping their furry children with strangers, we can provide security clearance docs up front at time of booking on request. Our dog had an excellent time staying with Alexander. We got daily updates and it looked like he had such a great time (especially judging by how knackered he was when we picked him up)!
Alex and the family were just wonderful with Simba! He’s come back home wagging his tail and full of happiness. We left our 3 year old doodle Scruffy with these lovely people while went away for a week for the first time without him. We had a couple of daycare sessions to warm him up to the idea first and I knew straight away he would be in good hands with Alex and Jess who were both really kind and patient with our very shy dog. We had updates throughout the week to reassure us he was doing well which was great for reassurance. Thank you so much for having him, we’ll be back!
Alex was great with Orla, my small labradoodle. This was her third stay with him and she always bounces in very happily. I would highly recommend him.

If I could leave more than 5 stars for Alex and Jess I would. They looked after our hyper labradoodle and a very timid cat for a week and it was the most stress free and pleasent experience for us.They befriended both pets in no time and also kept us updated with photos and messages. They were brilliant! Thank you so much Alex and Jess.

Schedule
We both work from home and one of us can always be in the house at all times. We are very flexible on drop off and pick up times.
