Availability
My schedule is very consistent! I am a nursing student, which means I have a few set days for classes and clinicals, but I am otherwise very flexible for drop-ins and walks. I prioritize clear communication and will always let you know my exact windows of availability well in advance.

Safety, trust & environment
Safety is my top priority. I am trained to be observant of a pet’s physical and emotional state. Whether we are in your home or out on a walk, I maintain a 'paws-on' approach to supervision. I am also comfortable managing multi-pet households, as I personally care for a 'mini-zoo' including dogs, cats, a turtle, and even shrimp!
Information Alexa V. would like to know about your pet
To provide the best care, I’d love to know: 1) Does your pet have any medical conditions or specific 'tells' when they aren't feeling well? 2) What are their 'stranger danger' levels? (Are they shy or over-excited with new people?) 3) What are their absolute favorite rewards (and any allergies I should know about)?
A typical day
A typical visit is tailored to your pet's energy! For active dogs, we’ll play frisbee or tug-of-war. For cats, I love interactive play with wand toys or even taking them for 'adventure time' in a stroller or backpack if they are trained for it. I believe in keeping pets mentally and physically stimulated so they are happy and tired by the time you get home.

Pet care experience
I have over 10 years of experience living with and caring for pets of all shapes and sizes. As a current nursing school student, I bring a high level of clinical observation and responsibility to my pet care. I am deeply comfortable with specialized medical needs, including administering insulin injections, oral medications, and eye drops. Having cared for a senior dog with diabetes and blindness, I understand the patience and gentle touch required for pets who need extra support.
Cat care experience

Alexa also cares for cats. Learn about their cat-specific care experience.
