I’ve been pet sitting since I was 15, giving me about 15 years of experience caring for dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, personalities, and activity levels. Animals have also always been a huge part of my own life. I’ve raised and trained two dogs of my own, including my family's current 140-lb Great Pyrenees/Anatolian Shepherd, so I’m very comfortable with everything from puppies and smaller breeds to extra-large dogs who sometimes forget just how big they are! I’ve also had cats my entire life and am comfortable caring for multiple cats at once. I understand that every pet has their own personality, routine, and comfort level, and I try to keep things as familiar and consistent as possible while their humans are away. I’m comfortable maintaining established training routines and house rules, and I also have personal experience managing some behavioral challenges, including dog reactivity/aggression.

My goal when caring for pets in their own home is to keep their routine as normal and comfortable as possible. I’m happy to follow your usual feeding, walking, potty, medication, bedtime, and training routines, as well as any household rules you have in place. If your dog isn’t allowed on the couch with you, I’m not going to become the fun babysitter who teaches them otherwise! If you do allow it, you can be sure plenty of couch snuggles will happen! I’m also very respectful of the fact that I’m a guest in both your pet’s space and your home. I’ll follow your instructions closely, keep things tidy, and make sure your pets receive plenty of attention and companionship while you’re away.

Alexa was wonderful! She was able to watch my pup on super short notice and was so accommodating. She was so sweet with my quirky dog and spent lots of time with him. She gave him his meds and followed instructions for his care. I got updates and even a cute video. We will definitely be using her again!
Alexa is the perfect dog sitter (and house sitter). She has helped us out on many occasions!!! Our two little dogs love her and we feel completely comfortable leaving the house and dogs in Alexa's hands for either short or long weekends. We have loved that Alexa likes to stay at the house as much as possible, so the dogs have company most of the times, versus just an occasional doggie walk. We love too, that Alexa has sent pictures of the dogs to us during our trips and often photos of them playing at the dog park. Sometimes we think the dogs like her more than they like us! Alexa is great. You won't be disappointed with Alexa!

Schedule
I’m currently a student taking primarily online courses and do not have a separate work schedule, which gives me a lot of flexibility and allows me to spend plenty of time with the pets in my care. For housesitting in particular, I’m able to be at the home for much of the day rather than leaving pets alone for a full workday. I do have a dog of my own, but he stays at home with family who adore him and are completely comfortable caring for him while I’m housesitting. This means I’m able to stay in your home without needing to bring my own pet along.
