I take pride in my work and strive to treat each and every animal I care for as I would my own personal pets. I personally understand how difficult it can be to trust someone with your furry family members and do my best to make the experience as amazing as possible for both pets and pet parents. I have worked in the pet care industry for over ten years now. I began dog walking in NYC, then managed a luxury boarding/daycare facility for dogs in East Syracuse. Since then I have also branched out into working in animal rescue as well. I also am currently pursuing a certification in dog training.

I can’t say enough good things about Alexa! She is absolutely wonderful with my dog and you can tell how much she genuinely cares about the animals she looks after. I always feel completely comfortable leaving my dog with her because I know he’s in great hands and being treated like one of her own. She’s caring, attentive, reliable, and someone I truly trust. Alexa is beyond great! She is a pitbull aficionado and I’m sure she knows a lot about other dogs as well. I feel blessed to have found her! My dog absolutely loves her! She knows so much about dogs that I’m learning from her. Thank you so much Rover for getting us together. I am beyond grateful.
Alexa is caring and loving towards by pups. She has cared for them overnight, on weekends and in an emergency. She also gives both of them baths, clips their nails, cleans their ears and gives them medication. She is wonderful! She has tons of experience with dogs, giving us tips to help our pups live better and healthier.

Schedule
I currently work for myself so my hours are flexible. I can accommodate dog walking most mornings, afternoons and nights. I currently offer in home boarding but limit it to three dogs per night to ensure the best quality of care.

I understand that allowing someone into your home to care for your pet can be nerve racking, so I strive to be as mindful of this as possible. Some of the ways I ensure I do this are by speaking with the client before hand to go over anything specific they need done, entering the home in a safe and respectful manner, greeting the pet I'm caring for with enthusiasm, creating a bond with them & making the experience as fun and stress free as possible.

A typical day
Each stay is customized to the client and dogs individua needs. That being said, I am an avid hiker and love long walks. I can spend hours outside playing catch or tug with your furry friend. When we are all played out and had all our fun for the day I thoroughly enjoy snuggling up & getting some cuddles in before the days done. Whatever your dogs needs are my job is to ensure they have the best day possible while in my care.
