Safety, trust & environment
I prefer to keep my bookings small and progressive to ensure I give each dog my full attention to keep them safe and happy. This means that I prefer walking in quiet neighborhoods with reliable sidewalks instead of a park with more distractions so I can get familiar with your dog's responses, and they can get familiar with me, during our first few walks together. Even while I worked as a mail lady for USPS, I still won over the dogs and cats on my route.
Information Alexa R. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know about your loves anxieties. Are there any quirks I should look out for that you'd like to be notified about? Are there medications I should give? Physical therapy? Treat routine? Tell me all about your baby.
A typical day
I spent years as a mail carrier walking 12-15 miles a day, and while I've changed jobs, I still enjoy a nice stroll. To take your pet on a 60 minute strenuous hike to tucker them out or go on a 1 mph nose packed adventure would be my pleasure! My typical go to locations are local cute neighborhoods, sugar house park, tanner park, and millcreek canyon. I'm new to SLC so any hiking recommendations are welcome! I look forward to taking your best bud out on adventures soon!

Pet care experience
I've been caring for dogs for over 15 years. In the last 10 years I have been fostering retired racing grey hounds and huskies so I'm ready to give every dog in between the care and attention they deserve. I have regularly watched friends and families animals since I was young and am excited to get back into it. Please let me be your peace of mind the next time you're out of town!

She did a fantastic job with my boys. Would definitely use her again. Thank you !
Alexa is the only dog sitter I trust with my 16-year-old toy poodle. She watched her when we both lived in Texas. I have moved to Utah, and if I need a dog sitter for an extended time, I will drive to Denver to drop Bella off with Alexa and fly out of Denver. It is worth it to me for the peace of mind that my fur baby is well cared for.

I booked my dog Finley to stay with Alexa on pretty short notice. She was beyond willing to help me out, and communication stayed on point. Her dog Buggs is such a cute and sweet older guy, and the 2 dogs got along great. She does live in an apartment, but it is spacious, clean, and Finley got so many extra walks! She is a dog lover through and through and i highly recommend booking with Alexa. I never once had to worry that Finley wasn’t being well looked after. Thanks, Alexa, for taking such good care of Finley at such a reasonable rate!! 5 of 5 stars.
