Beach Days & Forest Plays Dogcation
I work from home, so your dog will always have company, cuddles, and supervision throughout the day. I was a proud parent to a beautiful Siberian Husky—if you know Huskies, you know they’re wonderfully spirited (and not always easy!). Caring for her taught me patience, consistency, and how to meet the needs of energetic, independent dogs. I live just five minutes from Big Beach and the Wild Pacific Trail, so daily seaside strolls and forest adventures are part of the routine. Whether your pup loves long hikes, playful fetch, or cozy naps, I tailor each day to their personality. Safety is always my priority—I’m experienced with everything from high-energy explorers to shy or senior dogs. Since my beloved Husky passed last year, I’m excited to fill the fluffy void in my heart by welcoming pups into my home and giving them a stay that feels like their own little West Coast vacation.

Ratings and reviews
Alexa was amazing with Spruce. We got a bunch of updates and it was lovely knowing he was in good hands.

Alexa took great care of Poe during a weekend away. She was happy and so comfortable with Alexa and her partner when I picked her up!

Thanks! Alexa was great with our little guy! He was calm and happy when we picked him up. 😊

Alexa was so kind and gentle with my small dog and made the process so easy, it was perfect. Would definitely have her watch my pup again.

Alexa is truly one of the few people I trust with our pup, Cypress - who is very much our baby! She has cared for Cypress several times, and every time, our girl comes home happy, well-exercised, and clearly loved. Not only is she a fantastic pet sitter, but she is an overall amazing human - Bubbly, kind, responsible and organized :) Alexa has such a beautiful home with trails and a beach nearby! Plenty of adventures to be had with your pup!
Calendar and availability
Schedule
Because I work from home, pet care is naturally woven into my day. Morning beach walks or Wild Pacific Trail strolls start the day with fresh air and exercise, followed by plenty of playtime and cuddle breaks between work tasks. Midday potty breaks, water refills, and snuggles are all part of the routine, and evenings are for longer adventures or relaxed downtime. Weekends often mean extra exploring along the coast. Your pup will never be left alone for long stretches and will feel like part of our daily life from the moment they arrive.

Safety, trust & environment
Our yard isn’t fenced, but I use a secure long line so pups can safely enjoy the fresh coastal air. After years with our clever escape-artist Husky, I have learned that constant supervision and thoughtful routines are far more reliable than any fence. Your dog will always be under watchful eyes during potty breaks and outdoor play. I live right across from Edna Bachelor Park, so even a quick break can become a little adventure to sniff, explore, and stretch their legs. For longer outings, I am only minutes from Big Beach and the Wild Pacific Trail—perfect for seaside strolls or forest walks tailored to your dog’s energy level. Indoors, our home is cozy and dog-friendly with plenty of space for naps, play, and cuddle time. Whether your pup loves quiet companionship or active exploration, I will make sure their stay feels like a safe, happy West Coast retreat.
A typical day
A typical day here feels like a mini vacation for your pup! We start the morning with a stretch and a stroll—either across the street to Edna Bachelor Park or down to Big Beach to breathe in the salty air. After breakfast, there’s plenty of time for play, cuddles, or lounging while I work from home. Throughout the day, we take mini outdoor breaks and walks along the Wild Pacific Trail, where pups can sniff the forest and watch the waves crash below. Afternoons often mean a mix of fetch, quiet naps, and enrichment toys to keep minds busy. Evenings are for cozy downtime—curling up on the couch, gentle brushing, or one last walk before bed. Every dog has their own rhythm, and I love adapting the day to match their personality—whether that’s extra adventure for energetic explorers or calm companionship for easygoing pups.
