I currently have a very flexible schedule. I have always had oddball jobs, it makes life more interesting. I’ve worked as a local garden nursery assistant, wild-land firefighter, river raft guide, and I am currently a Server a few hours a week. You can schedule me throughout any day of the week. Morning and/or evening. Just let me know your hours and I’m happy to be there when you need me.

When I’m doing a home visit or picking up your pup for a walk, I love to make sure they are comfortable and get to know me first so I can see their personality and they can see mine. I am always available to do a meet&greet at your home or preferred location before we confirm a booking so don’t hesitate to ask. When it comes time for the walk, visit or stay, I’ll be sure to send you lots of pictures and updates on how it’s going. **I typically will exchange phone numbers to make communication and updates easier. I am here to make this as easy and comfortable for all of us and I am happy to help in anyway I can. I am always trying to consider the very best for your best friends!

I have no particular breed preferences. I love knowing as much as I can about any dog I work with. Like do they know any tricks? Allergies? How are they around other dogs? Do they have any triggers/things that upset them? There’s no judgment on their needs and your preferences. Any information is much appreciated. This is just as much about making them comfortable as it is for you!
A typical day
Long walks, big bursts of play and local parks/trails will be the way! I love doing what they love to do, whether it’s being outside in the sunshine or taking it easy indoors. Giving your furry friend a dose of fun is my favorite thing to see - from the sniff of their nose to the wag of their tale! ☺️ My favorite part about spending time with dogs is playing with them. There personality’s come to life! From fetch, tag or tug of war, you name it — If they’re more of a slow mover, I am happy to spend some quality time just attending to whatever they feel like doing + lots of cuddles + pets included!

I am so very passionate about bringing joy to your pets day while you’re away! I have many years of experience in caring for and working with animals, especially dogs, through growing up in a farm life setting. My professional background started from volunteering through Animal Shelters around the West Coast as a dog walker through a volunteer program called Americorps National Civilian Community Corporation (NCCC). Where I had the opportunity to assist in socializing and helping train dogs so they could be rescued to great homes with loving families. Here are some of those locations: • BrightSide Animal Center in Redmond, Oregon •Humane Society of Central Oregon in Bend, Oregon •Lemhi County Humane Society in Salmon, Idaho From there I grew further through local employment in Denver, Colorado as a city dog and cat walker/sitter with a company called Out-U-Go. I have traveled around quite a bit in my life and my passion for providing the best care for clients and their best friends has always remained. I love to send updates throughout my visits and am very detail-oriented. It’s so much fun to get to bring excitement to your pets days in the times you’re away. Alexa did a great job looking after my home and my two cats. She responded quickly to texts. She sent pictures. The cats came out to meet her on day one, which is unusual for my nervous cats. I highly recommend Alexa and hope to have her help me again!
Five stars for Alexa! We were so impressed by her thoughtful questions at our meet and greet, showing her deep understanding of dogs. She's now our #1 sitter – incredibly dependable and our senior-ish dogs absolutely love her! We have total peace of mind knowing they and our home are in her capable hands. Alexa sends regular updates and photos, responds quickly, and manages our dogs' changing medication needs perfectly. They're always happy when we return. We highly recommend Alexa to anyone needing a fantastic pet sitter!
Alexa was great with Kal. She communicates well and took good care of the house while watching him. Hopefully she remains available to do so again in the future!
Alexa is the best! She took such great care of our house and pups. She goes above and beyond when dog sitting. Communication is great and we don’t have to worry when she is taking care of our dogs. We will definitely use Alexa in the future!
