I currently work as a self-employed photographer. I’m able to dedicate time to caring for furry friends almost any time due to having a flexible schedule. I have reliable transportation and my own vehicle, so getting to and from appointments is never an issue.

A typical day
I love making sure dogs are happy, active, and having fun while they’re in my care! Depending on each dog’s personality and energy level, we can play fetch, go on walks, run around, enjoy playtime, or simply relax and keep each other company. I understand that every dog is different, so I always take the time to get to know their unique personality, comfort level, and needs to make sure they feel safe, loved, and entertained.

Spoiling Pets Since Day One
Pet care experience
I’ve been a lifelong animal lover and have grown up around dogs my entire life. I currently have four dogs of my own: one Chihuahua and three small mixed breeds, so I understand the importance of providing pets with loving, attentive care. Since 2016, I’ve also cared for pets for other families and have experience helping animals feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while their owners are away. In addition to pet sitting, I actively volunteer to help dogs in my community by promoting adoptable and foster dogs on Facebook and Instagram through my own social media account. I have also volunteered with The Animal Foundation, where I photograph dogs to help improve their adoption profiles and increase their chances of finding loving homes. I recently fostered a dog named Gotti, who was scheduled to be euthanized on January 25th. My experience with fostering, rescue advocacy, and animal care has strengthened my passion for helping pets feel loved and cared for.

Alexa was WONDERFUL with our pup! It was our first time being away from him for more than a couple hours & she made sure we were stress free the whole time. Our pup woke up looking for her- we will definitely be rebooking with her in the future!
Very personable, unfortunately we didn't get to use her services fully due to an illness, but will book her again for the future.
Alexa Harvey is one of my best friends and has watched my dogs on several occasions. She played with them and took great care of them. But other than dog care she is a very trustworthy person and will make an excellent dog sitter!!
