I have 5+ years of professional animal experience from my jobs as a wildlife rehabber, doggy daycare worker, and now as a surgical vet tech. I have a bachelor’s degree in biology and have taken animal husbandry and behavior classes and have a basic knowledge of dog training. I have years of experience with dogs and cats (including puppies and kittens), small mammals (rabbits, rodents, etc.), large animals (horses and pigs), and exotic animals (reptiles, amphibians, and birds). I also am able to give medication to animals and have experience dealing with diabetic cats and dogs with insulin. I am professionally trained to give meds orally, SQ, IM, and IV. I am able to be a standard sitter, dog walker, bather, can do overnight sitting (weekends only) and am willing to discuss bringing pets into my home depending on the situation. I love all animals and cannot wait to get to know you and your pet!

Safety, trust & environment
Your pets will never be unsupervised when they are with me even if you have a fenced in yard, I will always be watching them for their own safety. Dogs on walks will always be leashed and pets will be supervised for the entire duration of a visit in your home. I will follow any and all safety measures you feel are appropriate for your pet. I also have two dogs that are friendly if you wish to get some doggy playtime for your own pets and have experience in dealing with reactive and aggressive dogs that are not able to be around other dogs. I have extra harnesses, leashes, muzzles, and cat carriers if those are required for your pets!

Alexa was amazing with our 3 boys❤️ Alexa ensured they had clean cages, our 1 dog was anxious and had an accident which she cleaned, ensured they went outside, were fed, had some play time and we received several pictures of our boys. Alexa also assisted with making sure any packages we received were brought inside. Thanks for taking great care of our boys!

Alexa is absolutely wonderful with our furry children. She takes great care in writing reports on how they are doing, what they were doing, and everything, plus wonder pictures. We felt really great about having her do the visits today so our children were taken care of so thoughtfully. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone to take care of their furry kids, very thorough and punctual on the visits.

Schedule
I work full time currently but I am available in the mornings and evenings, as well as all day Saturday and Sunday. Drop in visit times may vary based on location and client needs.

- I would love to know any basic information about your pet as well as their temperament, how they do on leash and if they are dog/people reactive, any medical issues, and any issues of them trying to escape. It is also very helpful to know what you would like to get out of the visit (food/water, potty breaks, play, naps, etc.) to give me a good idea of how I can best care for your pets. The more details the better for your pets!
