As a lifelong animal lover, I've personally owned dogs, cats, ferrets, and rats! Currently, I’m dog mom to a senior corgi. I’m passionate about providing personalized care for pets of all ages, energy levels, and medical needs. I understand that no one knows your pet better than you, and I’m committed to following your care instructions to the letter. With years of experience in managing reactive dogs, I’m well-prepared to ensure a safe and happy environment for your furbabies, even if they have complex needs. Having transitioned from a career as a librarian to remote work, I have the flexibility to spend quality time with your pet in the comfort of their own home. Whether it’s walking, running, or hiking, I’d love to take your pet along for an adventure—short or long! I’ll keep them happily engaged and tired out.

My personal experience with my own animals with complex needs means that I deeply understand the anxiety that comes with leaving your beloved pet with someone new. Especially if they have unique medical needs or behaviors. I will take your care instructions very seriously and take the time to build a relationship with your pet at their speed.

Alexa is AMAZING!!!!! I have a very high anxiety dog and she was able to calm her and care for her like she was her own. She spent tons of time with my pups. Can't say enough good things about Alexa. We have a tough/reactive pup that can require extra attention on walks so we were stressed about finding a dog sitter that was comfortable with caring for him for a few days while we were away. Alexa went above and beyond. Though it was totally not required, she came ahead of time to have a meet n greet with him, and really took outstanding care of him while we were away and provided several updates. She has our highest recommendation! 💓🐕
I have trusted Alexa with my 2 cats for years. She has always taken truly wonderful care of them. I would trust her with the care of my pets anytime! They love when she comes over!

Schedule
I work full-time remotely and am available to provide care in your home, drop-ins, and dog walking. My schedule is very flexible. I am not available for care in my home as my reactive, senior corgi does not tolerate other animals in his space.
