Safety, trust & environment

Safety always comes first. I take time to understand each dog's routine, personality, and comfort level before every visit. I use secure leash handling, avoid unsafe situations or overly hot pavement, and pay close attention to signs of stress or fatigue—especially since I have two French Bulldogs of my own. In your home, I'll respect your space, follow your instructions carefully, and keep you updated with photos and messages so you know your pet is happy and well cared for.

Information Alex Z. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know about your pet's daily routine, energy level, favorite activities, any medical conditions or medications, allergies, leash behavior, and how they interact with other dogs or people. I also appreciate knowing any commands they know, things that make them anxious, and any quirks or preferences that help them feel comfortable. The more I know, the better I can make our time together safe, fun, and stress-free for everyone.

A typical day

Every dog is different, so I tailor our time together to their personality and energy level. That could mean an energetic neighborhood walk, a sniff-filled exploration, playtime with favorite toys, practicing basic commands, or simply providing companionship and affection. My goal is for your pet to be mentally stimulated, safely exercised, and excited to see me again.

Pet care experience

I’ve spent my life around animals—from growing up with mini poodles, Labradors, and blue heeler mixes to pet sitting for friends, family, and colleagues throughout adulthood. Over the years I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes and personalities, along with cats, birds, chickens, and even roosters. Volunteering at a local zoo as a kid sparked a lifelong love of animals that’s never gone away. These days, my world revolves around my own two French Bulldogs, Pierogi and Pearl. Caring for them has given me firsthand experience with the day-to-day needs of brachycephalic breeds, including monitoring them closely in the heat, recognizing when they need breaks, and making sure every walk is safe, fun, and tailored to the individual dog. They’ve also reinforced something I’ve always believed: every dog has their own personality, routine, and comfort level, and they deserve care that respects that. I live an active lifestyle and enjoy long walks and outdoor time with dogs that love to explore, but I’m just as happy taking a slower pace for seniors, puppies, or dogs who simply prefer a leisurely sniff around the neighborhood. I’m comfortable handling multiple dogs, larger breeds, and strong pullers, and I’m patient with rescues or dogs who need a little extra understanding. I work remotely with a flexible schedule, so I can reliably accommodate walks and visits throughout the day. My partner is also a devoted dog lover, so our home is always full of canine energy. Whether your dog is an energetic adventure buddy or a couch-loving Frenchie like mine, I’ll care for them with the same attention, patience, and affection I give my own pets.

Alex spent the Christmas week with our girl. He took wonderful care of her and spent a lot of time with her. Administered oral meds, plenty of walks. Great communication. Would hire again!

Alex has been extremely reliable and helpful. We just brought home our pup and are still figuring out what we're doing, and Alex was very flexible as we kept changing the instructions on him. Thank you Alex!!

Alex was on time for our meet n greet/walk. He listened to me talk aaalllll about Rico and did a very very good job at handling my super assertive and excited about life and squirrels pit bull. I felt at ease about Rico being in someone else’s care. Thank you Alex!

Alex did an fantastic job walking our rescue dog Lemon. As our dog is rather nervous, we needed someone to walk her who would be patient and responsive to her needs. Alex 100% delivered on that. He additionally sent us a great daily picture of her and was very responsive to any questions we sent him following their walks together. We will absolutely be using his services moving forward!
