I've done extensive volunteer work w/ dogs, and cats (and wildlife) in need in the U.S., throughout Southeast Asia and in Romania (with dogs coming from war zones in Ukraine). Needless to say, I am passionate about animals and their wellbeing. I particularly love how the relationships we have with animals develop - how our interactions with them become more and more nuanced as you connect, just like human relationships. I have years of experience fostering dogs and cats in many different circumstances. I'm great with seniors, juniors, high and low energy, and special needs animals as well. I'm especially good at giving medication to squirmy cats! My goal as your pet care-giver is to always make your animal(s) feel comfortable with me. I take a customized approach, interacting with them based on their individual personalities and needs, as well as the routines they are used to. I also take the time to understand and follow through with any requests you may have for their care. I communicate regularly and clearly with my clients and am flexible in responding to changing needs.

Alex was the perfect pet sitter. She took excellent care of our cat, making sure that she was comfortable, and sent photos of videos of her every few days. Alex clearly has a love for animals and I would definitely recommend her to anyone.
Alex takes care of my kitties whenever I go on vacation. She is very thoughtful and I have great confidence in her. So I don't have to worry about anything while I'm away.
As always Alex is amazing with our cats. So thankful for her.

Alex has been taking care of my cat Argo for several years. Argo has started to have kidney disease this year and Alex has been super good at giving Argo meds and taking good care of Argo, even when my house had ant issues. Schedule
I usually have a broad availability: Days or evenings, weekdays or weekends, and holidays. I can often accommodate bookings with a short notice as well.

It's usually best to meet you and your pet ahead of time so I understand your pet's routine, behavior, and environment... and so you are comfortable with me as well!
A typical day
I love to mix it up and keep my furry friends stimulated with new smells and sights. On walks we may walk through the neighborhood, the park, the beach, or visit their favorite spot. At home we either play with their favorite toys or I can bring in new ones. I always give them lots of love and attention... whatever they're in the mood for!
