Hi! I'm Alex, I run my own independent pet care services, and I'm thrilled to be providing my services here on Rover too! I've spent most of my life caring for animals, all of it adoring them, and for the last four years I've also been helping others with care for their pets. Currently I live with four pets, two of whom are medically complex, so I know how scary it can be entrusting your pet to somebody else. Every pet is unique, and I'll always do all I can to make you feel as reassured about their care as possible. I have experience administering medication, working with small mammals and reptiles, and caring for dogs with an array of different needs (including help with separation anxiety) among other things. I'm DBS checked, level 3 pet first aid certified, independently insured and I can provide as many references as you need in order to feel at ease. I offer solo and group dog walking, secure dog paddock enrichment hours, check-ins for cats, small mammals, small reptiles and dogs, and overnight and daytime pet sitting, and if you have a request that's not strictly one of those, I'd be more than happy to work something out with you. A little about me - I grew up watching Animal Planet and reading nothing but animal rescue books, had guinea pigs for most of my childhood, and even now my social media is mostly dog training and animal rescue! Living with two medically complex pets means I know how scary it can be entrusting your pet to somebody else, so I want to know every detail and make you feel as reassured about their care as possible. I work closely with every pet parent to make sure their pet's needs are completely fulfilled and everyone feels at ease. Meeting your pet where they're at is the most important thing to me, whether that's big long walks with lots of play for energetic dogs or simply being a reassuring presence for shy cats.

Alex had a busy household while pet sitting for me overnight - looking after my two dogs, my cat and my tortoise! All of the creatures were settled and happy with Alex before I left. Alex has such a calm and confident demeanor. They were able to walk my dogs, tend to my tortoise and medicate my cat, as well as sorting out mealtimes and giving lots of cuddles. Absolutely five star!
Alex took amazing care of our home and two rabbits whilst we were on holiday for a week. It was so lovely having peace of mind knowing they would be cleaned and fed daily and have time spent with them. Thank you so much for providing such a great service 🐇🐇
Alex has been the most incredible cat sitter for us. We put in a request for an emergency sitting and they have been so kind and diligent. We couldn’t have asked for a kinder and more compassionate sitter for our cat at such short notice. Alex sent continuous updates (which were greatly appreciated) and has been amazing overall. Alex has been a fantastic caregiver for my dogs, my cat and my tortoise! My cat requires a gentle and calm approach, which Alex exceeds in. She is even happy to take medicine from Alex, something which she doesn't trust many people with. My two dogs love Alex so much, they really enjoy their walks with them. And my tortoise is comfortable and confident with Alex too - he loves being hand-fed, Alex is so kind and confident with him. I can leave all four of my lovely creatures happily, in the knowledge they will be really well cared for. I thoroughly recommend Alex to anyone looking for a pet sitter or dog walker.
Alex has looked after my dogs multiple times, and has always done a fantastic job! They are great at walking dogs, connect with them very well, and always keep me updated with loads of photos. I would recommend Alex to anyone!
Alex is wonderful with my dog. She has separation anxiety, and struggles to go with other people. She absolutely adores Alex! Their care of animals is unwavering, kind, compassionate and fun. Alex sends photos, and videos to reassure, and in everyone my little Lola is beaming with joy. I trust them implicitly, they are reliable , honest, conscientious and remarkably gifted with animals. Genuinely can’t recommend them enough.

Schedule
Caring for animals fits seamlessly into my current routine, as I'm free most days and walking the dogs is always one of the highlights! I'm within walking distance of many great natural spaces, and taking your dog along for the adventure would fit in perfectly.
