Alex is very kind, took great care of my kitties. We were all very happy with his service :)

TLDR: We will never use Alex again and strongly recommend for nobody to use his services. We have video evidence that he negligently left our dog alone for almost a full day at a time, thus breaking our entire house sitting agreement, and gave such poor care we came home to our dog experiencing severe diarrhea/constipation. My husband and I were leaving town for the holidays and, needing a sitter for our house and single geriatric/relaxed dog, we found Alex. Although he had only 5 reviews at the time with one that was very negative, we continued with booking Alex for house sitting from 12/24/22 to 1/1/23. We hired him for full house sitting with dog sitting, to include staying overnight at our house with twice daily morning and night feeding/letting out. He communicated with as as though he completed this as agreed. Unfortunately our Ring camera proved that he: - did not stay overnight even once - did not show up at all in many of the mornings (leaving the night before at 7:30pm, showing up the following day at 4:30pm) - left our dog alone without lights or sound (as we agreed to)for up to 22 hours at a time (as described above) before returning - spent an average of 15-20 min at any one time with our dog - lied about the frequency at which our dog had episodes of diarrhea and vomit (of a mysteriously unknown cause) inside the house in his absence - didn’t bother to stay with our dog after knowing she had diarrhea and vomiting, instead electing to leave her alone again for another 20 hours by herself Upon our return, the house reeked of diarrhea and vomit in multiple rooms after poor attempts to clean the evidence. That first night, our dog woke us up three times during the night to urgently bring her outside for her to release her diarrhea. We will be reporting Alex’s negligence to Rover. We are not seeking reimbursement, but are looking for a formal review of Alex’s ability to participate on this website. His neglect for our dog, indifference for our dog’s well-being, and complete disregard for our contract resulted in what we believe was a completely avoidable illness and extreme stress for our dog. We will never allow Daisy to be cared for my Alex again and caution anyone contemplating his services.

very disappointed. I booked him for housesitting from november 23-27 for caring for 3 dogs including one elderly dog. We met and I went over instructions including walking, meditation and care for my senior shepherd. I also detailed instructions in rover for him. I left for out of country with limited internet only to return to find out that from November 23-27 there was no housesitting and that on those days my dogs went from 14-17 hours without care including walking and one important medication not being administered at all. My ring camera also showed me that for several early days from the 20-25 there was also little to no walks with my dogs and my neighbors across street saying that no one stayed at house. When I returned and brought these questions up and my disappointment, instead of explanation or apology, Alex stated that he took good care of my dogs while admitting to leaving my dogs for 14 hours with no walk or checking on them from 4:00 pm the prior day until I arrived home at 9:30 pm from my trip. That was most concerning and disturbing and prompted me to go back and review the Ring camera and talk to my neighbors who informed me that they saw no one staying at my house but only an occasional walk. This is not what was agreed to. I went over instructions and he knew that he was responsible for staying overnight with my dogs from 20-23 and then his friend from 24-27 and none of this occurred, with only occasional walks. He sent pictures only one day of dogs in house and no pictures of dogs on walks. He texted me once asking for cleaning supplies and I now understand why he needed them. when I arrived back home my dogs were very stressed having had no human interaction since the prior day at 4:00 pm.

Cadenza had a very comfortable stay with Alex. I would definitely use his services again! He was also very accommodating when I needed to extend my stay one extra night. Thank you, Alex!
