Pet care experience

Experienced, professionally trained

I am a former professionally trained dog walker for a local company, but I am switching my services to Rover since I started a graduate program. I also grew up taking care of two large dogs (Rhodesian Ridgebacks), and I often walk, sit, and love on my parents’ two small mutts (Elsa and Bobo). I am a huge animal lover (vegetarian for 18 years!) and believe that their behavior is simply a reflection of how we treat them. With this philosophy in mind I seek to treat animals with the kindness and respect they deserve. I am responsible, friendly, and can't wait to help your dog(s) lead a healthier, more active lifestyle! What I do: * keep you updated about how your pet is doing/send cute photos * clean up after your pet during walks * treat your dog with love and gentleness What I DON’T do: * walk off-leash * anything your dog is uncomfortable with

I can’t recommend Alex enough! Zeppelin absolutely loves her, and I always feel at ease knowing he’s in such good hands. She genuinely cares about him and always makes sure he’s well taken care of. She’s reliable, communicative, and pays attention to his individual needs, which means so much since he can be a little sensitive. It’s clear she truly loves dogs, and I’m so grateful to have found someone I trust with Zeppelin.

Alex was a phenomenal and professional dog sitter. She was attentive and communicative. She took great care of our energetic pup Cleo for a week, and went above and beyond for Cleo’s particular needs. We’d definitely work with Alex again in the future and will recommend her to our friends.

Calendar and availability

Schedule

I work from home and am flexible to best fit your dog’s needs! If I transport your dog to/from your home it would be via walking or the subway.

Where your pet will stay

Home characteristics

Lives in an apartment
Does not have a yard
Non-smoking household
Has no pets
No children present
Dogs allowed on bed
Dogs allowed on furniture
Potty breaks every 0-2 hours

Safety, trust & environment

I have no other pets at home and do not smoke. While I don't have a yard I live across the street from a park and one block away from the dog-friendly Fort Greene Park.

A typical day

I love Fort Greene park if we want to socialize with other people/animals. If your dog is able I love going on long walks to explore prospect park or new areas of Brooklyn/NYC. I also love to learn about your pet and what they love and engaging in whatever play they like best! If sitting overnight: *wake up, feed per your pet’s schedule, walk 4x a day (morning, early afternoon, late afternoon, before bed), dinner, lots of playtime and snuggles!
