Hello there! I love creating relationships centered around trust and communication - with both people and animals. I have over 20 years of experience pet sitting cats, dogs, chickens, rabbits, and fish and I grew up with cats, dogs, guinea pigs, and rabbits. My current pet family consists of two rescue cats and a rescue Lab/Pyrenees mix. I also have a personal interest in positive reinforcement behavioral training. I provide exceptional attention to your pet companions during visits. My house-sitting rates include care from the evening through the morning, as well as a midday check-in on weekends and days when I work remotely. A Note on Fee Adjustments: My base rate is for clients within an 11 minute travel radius. If you're outside the radius, I am happy to care for your pets at an adjusted rate. Adjustments For Drop-Ins and Walks: --Within 11 minute travel radius, regular rates --12 minutes or more, an additional $1 per minute/per visit. Ex: 15 minutes, +$3 a visit. For House-sitting: --If you don't need midday or fully overnight care, I am happy to adjust my house-sitting rate to accommodate your needs. --Within 11 minute travel radius, regular rates --12 minutes or more, an additional $2 per extra minute. EX: 15 minutes, +$6/day.

Communication is key so that you can trust in your pet's well being and relax while you are away. I provide ample pictures and detailed information about your pet's mood and behavior so that you have a crystal clear picture of how your companion is doing. I care for pets with empathy and prioritize your routine and schedule for care. Your care instructions will be respected, and your pet will be treated with the love and care that I give my own animals. I always follow your animal's body language and cues as to how they want to be interacted with whether it comes to giving pets, cuddles, playtime, or quiet time. For everyone's safety, all activities that I will do with your dogs will be on-leash or inside fenced areas.

This was our first time doing a house drop-in and Alex was the perfect person. She was courteous of our home and she was responsible with all the details we left for her. She had great communication when our automatic feeder seemed to not be working and went above and beyond to make sure our babies had enough food while we sorted out the issue. During our vacation we had no worries that our fur babies were well taken care of as Alex provided great notes with a lot of details and pictures. We were so happy she was our sitter, and from all the pictures she sent, we know our fur babies loved her! We will definitely book with her again.
I always come home to happy, relaxed critters, and a tidy home. My babies love Alex!

I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. Her attentiveness and communication were exceptional from start to finish . Every update was detailed, thoughtful, and genuinely reassuring. She truly cared about my cats’ wellbeing. When an ice storm was incoming there was a real possibility of the power going out, she didn’t just check in she went above and beyond to make sure my cat would be safe and comfortable no matter what happened. If you’re looking for someone who treats your pets like their own and keeps you fully in the loop while on vacation, this is the sitter you want. I’ll absolutely be booking again. Thank you Alex!

Schedule
⭐️I am available in the mornings and evenings in weekdays because I work a hybrid in-person/remote job. I am only able offer midday care on weekends and on the two days I work remotely.⭐️

- In order to make your pet as comfortable as possible, it is important for me to know: - if your pet has been housesat before by a non-family member - your pet's usual mood and activity level - any history of behavioral issues and their triggers (resource guarding, anxiety during thunderstorms, etc.) - any current or potential medical issues or needs (i.e., medications, stress poops) - their favorite treats and activities! :)
