Animals have always been my love. I’ve volunteered in animal rescue for all of my adult life and have an extensive experience with dogs, cats and horses and have experience with medicating, taking care of shy or fearful cats and dogs, and training dogs for a broad range of behavioral issues. I’ve fostered newborn kittens and feral cats in addition to giant breed dogs. And I’ve had family pets ranging from cats and toy breed dogs to giant breed dogs. I am a very gentle, calm, and caring individual and the animals seem to sense that. They can also tell when you really love them. In addition to an extensive experience with cats, dogs, and horses, I am also very familiar with aquatic animals particularly freshwater fish. I can even do water changes for your fish tanks if you’d like. If boarding, my house is in a very safe, gated community on a private cul-de-sac. The whole subdivision has miles of sidewalks for walks and is very quiet and peaceful. The backyard is fully fenced in and there is also a covered, screened in patio. Your baby will always be supervised and never be left alone at any time.

This was the first time we left our two dogs with anyone. Alex was great! Will definitely use her again and recommend her to anyone looking for someone needing a sitter for their dogs. Kept us informed ever step of the way.
Alex was amazing! She sent regular updates and photos of my dog every day. She was always responsive and very affectionate, treating my pup like one of her own. Will be contacting her again for future trips!
Alex was so amazing! Ollie went for lots of walks and car rides which he loves! She sent lots of pictures and updates and I was not worried at all about Ollie! Bear, Alex’s dog, is so sweet and Ollie really enjoyed being around him as well! I would highly recommend Alex and she is such a great dog sitter!
We left our two dogs and cat with Alex for six days while we traveled for our wedding. She was absolutely amazing!! We got pictures and updates every single day. She played with them in the backyard for hours everyday, went on walks, and took them on car rides for hikes. One of our dogs got a little sick and Alex was incredible with communicating with us and taking care of him. She truly treated our animals as if they were her own. We would recommend her to everyone and rehire her in a heartbeat!
Alex was nothing short of amazing! She went above and beyond taking care of my Marley. She took him on walks, dog parks, gave him extra treats, a bath….basically she treated him as if he was hers. While I was out of the country for a little over a week he had just as much fun judging from all the pictures I saw. I will definitely book Alex every time we need a sitter.

Schedule
The animals come first. It’s important to me that their needs are met be it food/ water, exercise, bathroom breaks, scooping the litter box, or just snuggling or playing. I’m home all day and fit my schedule around what they are accustomed to.

Safety, trust & environment
I mainly board and doggy daycare. Please let me know if your dog has any triggers to avoid and please keep in mind that I have 1 (large) mellow dog and 3 very friendly cats. If your dog does not like the company of other animals, we can possibly work around this but let me know in advance. *Please only request to book if your dog(s) are fixed.*

A typical day
Depending on you and your dog’s preferences, I love taking them for strolls through my neighborhood which is quite walkable. And going for car rides to the local dog park or for a hike on the trails in Amerson Park.
