Helpful things to know ahead of time include your pet’s routine, feeding schedule, and any medical needs or medications. I also appreciate knowing their temperament. How they do with new people, other animals, or certain situations. Details about their favorite toys, triggers or fears, energy level, and any quirks or habits are super helpful too. For dogs, things like leash behavior or recall are great to know, and for cats, preferences around play or hiding spots make a big difference. The more I know, the better I can make your pet feel safe, comfortable, and right at home while you’re away.

A typical day with me is all about making your pet feel happy, comfortable, and cared for in a way that fits them. I love learning each pet’s unique personality. Whether they have favorite toys, funny quirks, or specific routines. And I always lean into what makes them feel their best. For dogs, that usually means getting outside for walks or even a run (weather permitting), plus plenty of playtime, attention, and relaxation. For cats, I’m all about engaging play sessions (I love getting a kitty to chase a toy it’s the cutest thing!) balanced with calm, cozy time if that’s more their vibe. No matter the pet, I focus on creating a day that feels fun, safe, and familiar just like you never left.

Pet care experience
I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life and grew up in a home that regularly fostered both cats and dogs, which gave me experience with pets of all ages, personalities, and needs. That background taught me how to be patient, adaptable, and attentive especially with animals who may need a little extra time to feel comfortable. I stay active by walking and running with my neighbors’ dogs, so I’m very comfortable handling different energy levels and making sure pets get the exercise they need. At the same time, I truly love the quieter side of pet care too, providing plenty of affection, attention, and cuddles so they feel safe and loved. Caring for animals has always been a natural part of my life, and I treat every pet like they’re my own.
