MOST IMPORTANT: We only care for one family at a time, and your dog(s) will only be with us (two adult humans), as we have no animals of our own. I’m so glad to be on this platform and to meet folks who are looking for serious and caring pet caretakers. I’ve been doing this for most of my life. WHAT I OFFER: Unconditional care and attention to your loved ones and their individualized needs as an active and nurturing dog lover! I take dogs on hikes whenever the schedule and weather permits. Between my wife and I, someone is always home. We take care of dogs full time in addition to running a consulting business that operates remotely. Exercise is available for your animal in the form of active and frequent play sessions in or outside of our home. Hiking and nature walks or dog park socials are within reach as I have my own AWD vehicle to transport them if you wish for them to adventure while you’re away. I have toys and fetch equipment of at least one of every type! For dogs that really just prefer to be cared for and nurtured, I offer my comfort and love and lap time. Alex and his wife delivered conscientious care to my 55 lb dog. They were both very involved, engaged, and responsive. Their property has a nice backyard with a high fence, which is perfect for a dog that likes to run around. I’m planning to re-book my dog with them for a longer weekend this summer, and would definitely recommend them to friends and family.
Alex was phenomenal as a sitter for my dog Flynn! I was able to travel out of the country with absolutely no worries! My dog had never stayed with someone other than family and Alex made sure he felt like he was at home! Flynn truly had his own vacation. He was spoiled with homemade treats, cuddles and attention. Alex’s communication was excellent and he shared so many fun pictures. I cannot recommend Alex enough!
Alex was a great host for daycare! He was able to accommodate our schedule, great communication throughout the process, provided daily updates and pictures of Milo's stay. Milo had a wonderful space to play and nap all day, would recommend for anyone needing services.
Another wonderful stay with Alex and Bethany. They take amazing, thoughtful care of my dog. This was my 2nd booking with them and I wouldn’t want to leave my precious pup with anyone else. Highly recommend.
We were passing through Rochester and really needed a very trustworthy sitter for our highly separation anxious three legged Jack. So when we found Alex and Bethany and Jack trotted off with them with no anxiety, we knew we'd found the right match. These people clearly have the magic touch and the dedication to take care of any creature with any kind of special need. So I would recommend them a million times over. Honestly feeling kind of bummed we dont live in Rochester and therefore cant call on them more often.
I cannot recommend Alex and Bethany enough. My precious pup spent the weekend with them and had an amazing time. This was my first time leaving my dog, so I was a little nervous. They have excellent communication and sent me daily updates with pictures and videos, including a video of my girl with the Zoomies right after I dropped her off. I could see right away my dog was safe and loved on. It was a huge peace of mind to know she was being welled cared for and that I could enjoy my trip without worry. When I picked up my dog yesterday she was happy and relaxed. From first messages to meet and greet to boarding, Alex and Bethany were professional, kind, and amazingly attentive and loving towards my dog. I would use them again in a heartbeat, in fact I already have another stay booked with them in 2 weeks! I know my dog will be so excited to see them again ☺️

Schedule
I run a consulting business with my wife, and we work from home, but dog care is our full-time joy. Remote work enables me to be fully available for full time care as services are requested.

My focus on animal care and joy is paramount, and the reason I engage on this platform. Since starting Rover care now over 5 years ago I have only grown in my already vast knowledge, skills and moreover LOVE and appreciation for animals and their individuality. Their needs and comfort will be attended to 100% of the time. I enjoy hiking or gently walking with dogs, indoor and outdoor playtime, dog parks, and even taking drives if they enjoy the car. Staying home and just being a companion to them is of course a totally legitimate need and an easy ask as well. My top priority is their comfort: and we can discuss that in detail so you know your and their needs will be met.
A typical day
Typically when I watch others animals I first ask the parent what the dog actually wants and enjoys, and we take it from there. I will follow your lead on all fronts sleep schedule, playtime habits, eating rituals, etc. It’s all about making sure your best friend is happy and comfortable. Added note: I have a car that I can utilize to take your dog to a dog park or hiking or walking outside of the neighborhood for a fun day activity if that would suit your needs!
