I currently have a very open and flexible schedule. I work from home while rebuilding my web design business, so I’m available most hours of the day and night for walks, drop-ins, or house sitting. Since my work is computer-based, it’s easy for me to adapt my routine around your pet’s needs… whether that means frequent potty breaks, long walks, or extra companionship.

When I’m caring for pets in a client’s home, my focus is always on making your pet feel safe, loved, and comfortable. I take the time to understand their routine… from feeding and walk times to the little habits that make them feel secure. I stick closely to your instructions so their day feels familiar and stress-free. I’m gentle, patient, and always tuned into an animal's energy. I make sure doors and gates are secure, leashes are clipped on properly, and your pet is never rushed or pushed beyond what they’re comfortable with. Whether your pet is playful, shy, or a bit of both, I work at their pace and give them the reassurance they need. I treat your home with the same respect I give to the animals I care for… keeping things tidy, communicating openly, and making sure you always feel confident that your pet is in good hands.

Before caring for your pet, I like to understand their unique needs and personality so I can make them feel safe, comfortable, and happy. Here are some things that really help me provide the best care: * Their daily routine (feeding schedule, potty habits, preferred walk length, bedtime, etc.) * Any medical needs, medications, allergies, or mobility concerns * Energy level and preferred activities (playtime, cuddles, long walks, etc.) * Comforts and triggers (loud noises, other animals, certain handling, etc.) * Social preferences... friendly and outgoing, shy and slow-to-warm-up, or cautious? * Training cues, commands, or house rules I should follow * Crate use, sleeping arrangements, and treat guidelines * Any previous history that might help me understand their behavior The better I know your pet’s personality and routine, the more I can help them feel right at home while you’re away.

A typical day with me depends on your pet’s personality and energy level, but the goal is always the same... keep them happy, relaxed, and engaged. We’ll start with some gentle morning interaction, whether that’s a walk, play session, or quiet cuddles if they prefer a calm start. Throughout the day, I mix in fun activities like walks, sniff-adventures, fetch, tug-of-war, training refreshers, puzzle toys, or simply hanging out together if they’re more of a cozy-companion type. I love giving pets the chance to use their minds, not just their legs, so I pay attention to what they enjoy most. Whether they’re high-energy explorers or laid-back snugglebugs, I’ll match their pace, follow their comfort level, and keep their routine consistent. And of course, there will be plenty of love, reassurance, conversation (yes, I talk to animals!), and photo updates for you along the way.

🐶🐱 HOUSE SITTING PRICING INFORMATION 🐱🐶 My base rates are set up to be affordable for multi-pet households (3+ pets). Rover’s pricing system only allows either a flat rate or per-pet pricing, and I never want animal lovers to feel priced out just because they have more than one pet. At this time, I am unable to offer discounted rates for new clients with less than 3 pets like I used to. Thank you for your understanding. 🐶🐱 NOW BACK TO MY PET CARE EXPERIENCE 🐱🐶 I've been an animal lover my entire life, and over the years I’ve had the joy of caring for dogs of all kinds… from tiny Boston Terriers to energetic German Shepherd and Australian Cattle Dog mixes, to sweet French Bulldogs and Border Collie blends. I’ve raised puppies as young as 3 months old, trained them (not professionally, but with love and consistency), and cared for multiple senior dogs through their later years. Beyond dogs, I’ve also spent years caring for a full home of animals… at one point looking after 2 dogs, 5 cats, a horse, and 3 goats. I’ve handled high-energy dogs, administered flea meds and pills, and managed the day-to-day needs of multi-pet households. While I’m not currently caring for animals of my own due to a major life change, animals have always been a huge part of my daily routine and my heart. Right now I offer drop-in visits, dog walking, and house sitting in your home. I’m naturally friendly, very tuned in to animal behavior, and have a great sense for their needs, energy, and comfort levels. As I work on relaunching my web design business, I’m fortunate to also have the time and passion to help others with their beloved pets. Your pets will always receive patience, understanding, structure, and tons of affection. I know how important it is to feel confident leaving your furry family with someone… and I’d love to be that trusted person for you.

Alex is terrific -- and having him housesit with our cat TK is a joy. Alex gives the cat love and TK reciprocates -- that's clear from the photos Alex sends showing the cat snuggled up next to him (or sitting on Alex's computer, demanding attention). Alex also played sitting-tag with a friend, who came for several days, and coordinated with her so that care for the cat and watering of our garden went seamlessly. Finally, TK had a few puking incidents. While TK did not apologize to Alex, I did. Alex's response? "No worries! Animals doing animal things." He's a great sitter with a sense of humor.
Alex did an amazing job taking care of our house, dog and three cats, giving meds to our dog and taking special care of her after she hurt her back the week before. Lots of pictures and updates and the house looked amazing when we returned. Highly recommend Alex!
Alex went above and beyond on his first overnight with our cat TK. After an initial meeting, he asked questions to be sure he understood our cat and our house. On his visit he sent oodles of photos, our 9-yr-old TK looking completely relaxed and having fun. We returned to a happy, calm and collected cat and our house perfectly taken care of. We've already booked Alex for 2 more chunks of time later this month. Responsive, understanding, conscientious. Oh--and he's so upbeat. So glad to have him in our TK family now.
Alex took great care of our house, elderly dog and young cat. He was very responsive and kept us updated during the trip. Would highly recommend Alex to take care of pets and house!
