I’ve been doing this for most of my life. WHAT I OFFER: Unconditional care and attention to your loved ones and their individualized needs as an active and nurturing dog lover! I take dogs on hikes whenever the schedule and weather permits. Between my wife and I, someone is always home. We take care of dogs full time in addition to running a consulting business that operates remotely. Exercise is available for your animal in the form of active and frequent play sessions in or outside of our home. Hiking and nature walks or dog park socials are within reach as I have my own AWD vehicle to transport them if you wish for them to adventure while you’re away. I have toys and fetch equipment of at least one of every type! For dogs that really just prefer to be cared for and nurtured, I offer my comfort and love and lap time. I think the reviews speak for themselves, but I would love to meet you and your animal to make sure the anrrangement and my personality work for you and to see if your dog(s) can connect with me and my wife. Amazing boarder! Where do I even start. As a first-time Rover user, and the first time leaving my senior, high-anxiety dog, I was a wreck. But Alex and his wife made it so easy, keeping me updated with texts, pics, and videos the whole time. Shadow was relaxed, happy, and really well-loved. I’ll definitely use them again! Alex and Bethany were so kind and accommodating, really taking the extra mile to make sure Lucy was comfortable and felt at home. Lucy had tons of play time and time outside!
We had to book a sitter last minute, but Alex and his wife were absolutely amazing! Leaving your pet with anyone is nerve wrecking, but we felt comfortable as soon as we arrived. Harvey seemed to have a great time, and though he’s nervous he warmed up quickly which shows how great they are with the animals in their care. We got lots of updates which made us feel comfortable too. If we ever need a sitter again we won’t hesitate to book with them 🤗
Alex & Bethany are both angels here on earth. No matter what the reason for her needing to be boarded - this time I had surgery - the stress of her being away was gone. She loves being with them! And another huge perk, is that she's happy, still well-behaved, and content when she's back home. No anxiety or acting out, and it's bc they provide such a loving, stable, and fun spa for her. They're an important part of our family ♡♡♡
Absolutely will book again! These two were wonderful with my dog and treated him like their own. I appreciated the updates and photos/videos and great communication. My dog is an anxious dog and he DID SO well with them!

Schedule
My wife and I run a consulting business, and because of this someone is always home. Dog care is our full-time joy. Remote work enables us to be fully available for full time care as services are requested. Believe me when I say: everything important becomes the dogs contentment and happiness while they’re in our care!

My focus on animal care and joy is paramount, and the reason I engage on this platform. Since starting Rover care now over 5 years ago I have only grown in my already vast knowledge, skills and moreover LOVE and appreciation for animals and their individuality. Their needs and comfort will be attended to 100% of the time. I enjoy hiking or gently walking with dogs, indoor and outdoor playtime, dog parks, and even taking drives if they enjoy the car. Staying home and just being a companion to them is of course a totally legitimate need and an easy ask as well. My top priority is their comfort: and we can discuss that in detail so you know your and their needs will be met.
A typical day
Typically when I watch others animals I first ask the parent what the dog actually wants and enjoys, and we take it from there. I will follow your lead on all fronts sleep schedule, playtime habits, eating rituals, etc. It’s all about making sure your best friend is happy and comfortable. Added note: I have a car that I can utilize to take your dog to a dog park or hiking or walking outside of the neighborhood for a fun day activity if that would suit your needs!

- I don’t have any preferences other than if they have a nervous tick or “really don’t like it whens”. My wife and I had a rescue for 12 years, and he taught me SOOOO much about dog anxiety and what that means for him to try to communicate! It doesn’t have to be upsetting or unsettling when a dog has needs they can’t communicate, we just have to be available to receive how they express it, and work with them. In short: I can work with any animal. The more I know in advance, the better we all will be for the duration and be able to relax and have fun!
