I have a bachelors in Animal Sciences from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign with a potential career goal to become a Veterinarian. I’m currently completing the Veterinary Nursing Program at Purdue University online, to become a certified Veterinary Technician. I’m working in a vet clinic. In the past, I have done dental cleaning on cats & dogs, very satisfying. I’m experienced with administering medication, injection, insulin, etc. I have a genuine love for animals. I’m a professional trusted and long term sitter for my clients. I’m reliable, flexible, and qualified. I have a lot of knowledge for companion animals that I will love to teach my clients. I'm super loving, energetic and calm. I trained service dogs in training while I was in college. I do have the ability to recognize behavioral signals. I’m experienced with reactive, anxious, special needs and aggressive pets. I have a extra connections with every pet that enters my life. I asked to book with Alex last minute and she responded quickly and showed up on time! 🤩 She kept me updated throughout the whole weekend with pictures videos and texts and my nerves were calmed knowing my puppy was in good hands ☺️ will definitely book again in the future when needed
Alex and her partner, Heather, did a wonderful job taking care of our elderly German Shepherd. Alex’s veterinarian technician background was one of the most important details about our choice to contact her because our old girl takes several medications daily for chronic health conditions. She also is a nervous dog, so knowing that both Alex and Heather had experience and positive reviews was helpful in making our decision to hire her. My husband and I were comfortable with Alex during our video chat, and with both ladies during the Meet and Greet appointment. Rheyah was comfortable with them too! From the time that I first contacted her on Rover to the end of her stay, Alex was friendly and presented herself in a competent manner. During their stay, Alex and Heather frequently texted me with updates and asked questions to confirm my instructions. The daily photos were also appreciated! We were glad to see that the house was clean when we returned too. We were definitely pleased with our experience with Alex and Heather!
Alex took amazing care of our four pets (2 dogs and 2 cats) in our home for a week! Our pets certainly didn’t make it easy for her and she handled it all with ease. She kept us up to date and sent frequent pictures of all four. I would highly recommend Alex to anyone looking for a trusted and reliable pet sitter.
Alex was fantastic! We have quite the crew with 3 very different dogs and a very feisty cat. Alex was great with all of them and even got the cat's seal of approval which is very rare. Her communication was excellent and there were plenty of photos of our health and happy pack throughout the week. Everyone was happy we were back but also were very relaxed. We will definitely call on Alex again.
I was very disappointed. My security camera showe that Alex left Athena one day for over 13 hours and on Thanksgiving she left the house at noon and didn’t return till the following morning. 10 hours is the comfortable max for Athena being able to go between walks.
Alex took excellent care of Teddy and went above and beyond to help ease his anxiety. We are so thankful for her help!

Schedule
I try to follow the owner’s and pet’s schedule as closely as possible and adhere to the detailed instructions. I will discuss with the owner prior my schedule and if it will be a good fit.

I have friendly pups and a curious kitten for boarding. During home visit / house visit / walks I go off owner/pet schedule and needs.. I love written instructions on care for the individuals and I always give exceptional care.

A typical day
The activities can vary based on owner/pet needs (enrichment, training, fetched, etc). I do like to give walks around the neighborhood. I like to listen to music with the pets!
