I’m Alex and I love dogs! I have my own cat who is my heart and soul. I’m currently looking for a client who needs regular house sitting help. Through my life, I’ve been lucky enough to own everything from pups to cats, birds, fish, and hamsters! I have a lifetime experience of building relationships with, caring for, and really getting to know five particularly amazing dogs. Baths, walks, special food, daily meds -- I did it all. I'd take them to Petsmart for toys and treats, the vet to get their shots and medication, for a walk to get exercise and socialize, etc. I've worked with dogs from Pekingese to Bouvier and every size in-between. I'd also be delighted to take care of any other domesticated animal you may own! Rest assured that any animal that’s with me will be treated like the princes and princesses their owners know they are. I give all my heart and attention to all animals, especially those tame enough to love us back the same. The deeper emotional connection we can feel makes it all the more natural for me to take care of them. Currently, I’m the proud papa to a black cat. When my last best friend got old, we had to use pee pads or diapers, so I understand things happen. I also used to care for my Aunt's dog Daisy who had seizures and anxiety attacks. I’ve helped make my kitten special infant feed as well as administer honey water for my grandma's seizing dog. If your pup or cat has minor special medical needs, I would be happy to assist in their care! If they need greater care, or have a history of aggression, then I will suggest that a professional be found for them. I'm excited to put my love for art and photography to use as well as I’m always eager to take cute dog pictures that I’ll send to you, along with daily updates. My volunteering heart is always open and happy to fulfil any client's wishes. Anything that relieves you of your stresses makes me a happier guy, from cleaning litter boxes, to taking out the trash. I am currently working part-time at The Dollar store and am taking a break from working on my bachelor's in Psychology. That means I'll have plenty of time to take care of your furry friend!

My routine is shown above. I would continue my client’s routine so the pet is most comfortable, unless the client says otherwise or allows me to use my own routine.

Our fur kiddos were happy and healthy when returned from vacation. The house was clean. I would absolutely use Alex again and recommend him.
My first time using Rover. Alex did a great job house sitting and taking care of my dog. His companion dog was a great play buddy with my dog. I would use his services again if he is available.

Alex was great! Followed all directions and made sure of dogs were taken care of like they were his own. He even sent pictures and videos of them at the dog park! Definitely recommend Alex!!!

Alex stopped by for a drop-in visit and did a wonderful job! I always nervous to leave my baby in another’s care, but, after meeting with Alex, I felt comfortable leaving him knowing he would be well loved and cared for in my absence. He followed feeding and visit instructions perfectly and sent updates throughout the visit. When I got home, my dog wasn’t waiting in him normal spot. He was sitting by the door Alex came in/out of waiting for him to return! My dog is nervous and standoffish near new people, so that says someone. I’ve already rebooked with Alex!

Schedule
My routine revolves around my pets’ needs. I wake up pretty late, when my dog needs to go outside, feed him, play with him as much as possible during the day, give him treats and toys, a good wet dinner, and a comfortable bed at night.

- Meet and Greets are a must, and I prefer to meet at whosever house the pets will stay at most of the time. Meet & greets at the house they’re familiar with is a great idea. I love all animals and all dogs, so I don’t have a breed preference, but I do find smaller, fluffier dogs so adorable! Additionally, I'd want to know what actions or phrases I could do or say that would make their pet feel a little more well at home. I also want to know if the dog has any triggers or anxieties, what their energy level and play style are, and if they have any special needs around food, meds, or socialization.
