We got our first family dog when I was about 8 years old. When I was about 14 we adopted Mickey, aged 2 - the family dog who sadly passed last year, aged 19. Since then my family had Pablo, an energetic Sprocker Spaniel. And my partner and I have had our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Copper, for 6 years from being a puppy. I regularly care for Pablo when my parents are on holiday, and have looked after friends dogs in the past. I'm working from home typically 2 days a week. On the days I'm in work, my dog will be looked after by friends or parents. My daily routine when working from home consists of a 45 minute walk first thing in the morning to the local park - usually 7.30/8am - and if the dog is up for it, the same in the late afternoon. I have a small secure garden which is padlocked at the back. I don't leave my dog unsupervised outside and just let him out for the toilet. I work upstairs in the spare room - so I just put the dogs bed next to my desk where he likes to sit. He will go down and get water when he needs it.
