Family Home Away From Home!

We've been caring for dogs for years and previously welcomed pups through Rover from 2015–2017. We loved building relationships with dogs and their families before taking a break to welcome our own children and relocate. Now settled in Buford, we're excited to open our home again! Our family provides attentive, hands-on care with regular walks, supervised outdoor time, structured activity, and plenty of individual attention throughout the day. With experience caring for dogs with different personalities, routines, and needs, we understand that great pet care is about more than food and walks—it’s about patience, attention, communication, and making every dog feel comfortable, safe, and loved while their family is away. So if you're heading out on a short or long vacation, let your dog(s) have a mini vacation too! We'd love to take care of your best friend(s) while you're away. Please, feel free to message me for more information!

So nice to feel at ease leaving town knowing Alex and his wife Austin will take good care of your fur baby. I knew my Bella would be given plenty of playtime and treated like part of the family, which she was!

This is the second time we've used Alex and as expected the stay was perfect! We were in Thailand for nearly a month and left our Boxer, Lucy in great hands. Lucy was torn, do I leave or do I stay, she's definitely at home here, and it takes a great weight off our shoulders knowing she's in safe and happy hands. Thanks again for a wonderful experience for us and our dog :)

Alex and his wife are awesome! I cannot say enough kind things about these two. Our dogs came home as happy as can be and tired from playing. These two definitely give you peace of mind when keeping your dogs. They have a fabulous backyard for your dogs to romp around in and two of the sweetest dogs I've ever met. I'll definitely only be using these two in the future whenever I need to board my dogs.

Schedule

We're a busy but family-oriented household with two kids and our two dogs, Winnie and Zuma. Our family has a predictable routine that naturally incorporates attentive pet care throughout the day. Pet care is seamlessly woven into our day, with morning and evening walks, regular potty breaks, meals, attention, playtime, and plenty of opportunities to relax throughout the day. We tend to focus on quality over quantity and give each guest the individual attention they deserve.

Safety, trust & environment

Your dog's safety and comfort come first. Our goal is to create a calm, welcoming environment where your dog can feel comfortable, settle into a routine, and enjoy being part of our family while you're away. While we don't have a fenced backyard, all outdoor time is supervised and includes neighborhood walks and potty breaks. Because Winnie and Zuma are part of our family, we also consider personality and compatibility when accepting new guests. We prefer a "Meet & Greet" before a first stay so everyone can feel comfortable and confident about the fit.

Pets

A typical day

Every dog is different, so we'll work with their normal routine as much as possible. A typical stay may include: Morning - Breakfast, potty break, and a morning walk to start the day. Midday - Playtime, enrichment, attention from the family, and plenty of opportunities to relax. Afternoon - Another walk or supervised playtime, depending on your dog's energy level. Family Time - Our guest dogs become part of the household while they're here. They can hang out with us, relax nearby, or enjoy some quiet time when they need a break. Bedtime - A comfortable, calm sleeping arrangement based on your dog's normal routine. Our goal is simple: while you're enjoying your time away, your dog should feel like they're enjoying a little vacation of their own.

Before booking, we'd love to learn a little about your dog so we can make sure they're comfortable and that our home is a great fit. Please tell us about: - Your dog's personality and energy level - How they typically interact with adults, children, and other dogs - Their normal feeding, potty, walking, and sleeping routine - Any medications, allergies, anxiety, or special care needs - Their favorite toys, activities, and ways to relax - Any behaviors or triggers we should know about - Whether they are comfortable staying in a home with other dogs For everyone's safety and comfort, we ask that boarding dogs be house-trained, appropriately vaccinated, and comfortable around people and other dogs. We'll always schedule a Meet & Greet before a first stay so everyone—including your pup—can make sure it's a good fit. - Dogs must be completely potty trained - Dogs must not be aggressive towards people or other dogs - Dogs must know basic commands (come, sit, stay etc.) - Dogs must be house broken (Absolutely no chewing or destructive behavior) - Dogs must be fixed and up to date on all vaccines and medicines
