“Wow, he usually never lets anyone get that close!”. My pet-sitting journey first began when I was 11. My neighbor hired me to care for both their oldest and younger pups. Ever since, and even before, I’ve been trusted to watch over / make friends with kittens, Newfoundlands, parrots, horses, snakes, pigs, squirrels and more :)

Alex was incredibly sweet and kind. He was prompt, very respectful of my home and my pup, and a joy to chat with. Our pup is very teeny tiny (3 months!) and so the level of attention/dedicated puppy experience she needs is very high! And so she needs not only someone who can take her outside on schedule and feed her and keep her from getting hurt, but also someone with a keen intuition, or sixth sense about puppies in order to keep them engaged and tended to. I think that while my puppy really loved Alex’s company, at her young age she benefits from someone with more puppy expertise right now (something we are still learning ourselves as her parents). I would highly recommend Alex for an adult or just an older dog who already knows the lay of the land and just needs someone to do the things that paws don’t work for (belly rubs, food, opening doors, leashes, cuddles, etc). All in all I really enjoyed Alex and would definitely recommend him to a friend with a dog out of the puppy stage!

Schedule
As a recent University of Pittsburgh graduate formally transitioning into cybersecurity, I have a decent workload that can be spread across any time of day, and most importantly around any commitments!
