I work from home 3 days a week. Typically these days are Monday, Tuesday & Friday. We are more than happy to look after your little, or large, friend for an extended weekend and for longer bookings this can be flexible. The day would start with a long walk either around Cureden park or other surrounding paths and fields for around 30 minutes- 1 hour. With regular toilet breaks throughout the day, we will always ensure our dog is comfortable and is staying in their home away from home. Once my partner comes home from work, we would typically then walk together for around 1 hour in the late afternoon. Again, this is whatever the weather! We are equipped with boots and waterproofs so this doesn’t bother us. At the weekend, your dog will be our main priority and a big long walk (if they are able!) will be the main event of the day.

We have a very spacious home with a large fenced garden. This gives your pet the chance to explore throughout the day! We usually look after our family’s dogs, a cockapoo and a Labrador and they have lots of space to run around) We have looked after them at the same time before so would have no issue in looking after 2 dogs (3 would be a struggle!) We don’t allow dogs on the furniture but they are allowed upstairs if they want to explore. We are also happy for them to be in any room. In the evening, after a nice long walk, we love nothing more than settling down to watch some tv, maybe with a fire on, and some snuggles on the floor with your furry friend. During the night, your dog would be left in the kitchen, with any tempting food safely out of harms way!). All doors would be closed but we don’t mind if they wander upstairs and want to lie on the carpet (we find our dogs generally do). If you would prefer your dog to be kept in its crate this is absolutely fine and we will go with whatever routine has worked best for you. This is your dogs home away from home, so making them & yourself comfortable will be our number 1 priority!

Pet care experience
For the last 5 years, my partner and I have been crazy about dogs. We’re usually the first point of call to look after the dogs in our family and friendship groups! We cannot wait to have a dog of our own but with a wedding to pay for (hence the side hustle!) we do not have the time or money for full time just yet. We have experience in looking after dogs of all ages. From minding a puppy for the evening to extended stays with a senior dog of 14 (!) We have a very spacious home with a large fenced garden. Your furry friend will be looked after like it was our own. Lots of walks, cuddles (but not on the sofa :D) and a few treats here and there. Living on the doorstep of Cureden Valley park gives us great access to amazing dog walks, no matter the weather! I work from home 3 days a week, but this can be flexible for longer bookings. Long weekends can work best with Friday - Tuesday the best time to book. Please get in touch if you are interested! We will have more scope to look after any dogs during the School holidays as my partner is a teacher but please get in touch about specific dates! Please note, if we are to board your little furry pal, they must be crate trained (if under the age of 2) and be okay being left alone at night. We do not allow dogs into our beds with us, so if this is how your dog sleeps normally, we wouldn’t be able to accommodate this as we wouldn’t want them getting too anxious!
Reviews

From the very start we knew Lola was going to be well looked after by Alex and Madeline. She took to them immediately and it seemed the feeling was mutual. They were super thorough in every way, including a detailed questionnaire, clarification of all requirements, gave us information and asked us all our preferences. It was clear she was in safe hands. Lola is on meds and that was handled superbly. She clearly had a great time and we were sent updates which were really cute! In all Lola had a great time and we felt completely confident she was in good hands. Will definitely be coming back! Thank you so much Alex and Madeline!

Mischa our rottie absolutely loved her stay with alex and his girlfriend. The both looked after her very very well. They also sent updates and pictures. It was a weight of our shoulders knowing our big baby was being spoilt. Will definately book her in again.

Maddie and Alex boarded our ten month old Doberman puppy again last weekend so we could attend a wedding. When Roxy arrived at their house her tail began to wag and she was eager to get into the house, and play with them both. She was happy to see them knowing she would be looked after. She went on lots of long walks in the countryside and was very well cared for. I am fussy who we leave Roxy with, but would highly recommend this young couple to look after your pet. They are knowledgeable about dogs and go out of their way to accommodate your requirements. Again would highly recommend. Thanks again from Julie and Mike.

It was the first time we had ever left Roxy overnight. We were really worried about leaving her at all. However we were greatly impressed with the young couple who looked after her. They went above and beyond to make Roxy feel at home and cared for her exceptionally well, sending us regular pup dates on how she was. They have a great set up and large garden, and are close to a large country park for walking and adventures. We both are very fussy people but we would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a high standard of care for their dog. We have already booked with them again, as we know Roxy will be well cared for.
