Pet care experience
Making your pups feel like family!
Hi! My name is Alex and I'm a lifelong animal lover! I’ve had dogs all my life but learned so much more when I started fostering in 2014. Over the years, I’ve raised four dogs of my own, fostered 8 dogs for three different rescue organizations in Kentucky and Ohio, and continue to volunteer with local rescues. Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and I genuinely love getting to know each pet as an individual—whether they’re energetic puppies, mellow seniors, or anywhere in between.

Safety, trust & environment
Your pet will stay in a safe, loving home that has a fully fenced back yard for secure outdoor time. I also have spare rooms if your pup needs space and time away from others when in new environment is needed or if they do not do well with stairs. We have three friendly resident dogs: Auggie (12 years old Staffy mix) Sgetti (5 years old husky/shepard mix), and Fern (7 months old rough coat American hunt terrier). I carefully manage interactions to ensure everyone is comfortable and safe, and I will always prioritize your pet’s routine and needs. Whether your pet needs a day of activities, reliable walks, or a cozy and calm home-away-from-home, I’ve got you covered.
Ratings and reviews
Alex has taken care of my three dogs many times over the years and I am never worried about them (or Alex) while he's there! He's an animal lover and a tender heart, always wanting to do what's best mentally and physically for both his own pets and others. He and his wife have fostered (and foster-failed) with several dog rescues since I've known him (about a decade now?) and you can be rest assured he'll do what he says and communicate often clearly with you.
If you need someone to take care of your pets like they were their own, Alex is the perfect choice! He genuinely loves all pets and will make sure all needs are taken care of promptly. He is trustworthy and responsible to make sure all animals are safe and secured too. 10/10 would recommend him as a caregiver for your pets!

Schedule
I work second shift during the week and occasional Saturday’s. This gives me time in the morning to work with the pups and get them nice and tired for an afternoon nap! Crate training is an important part of my philosophy with dogs and I try to make sure they’re comfortable and safe.
