Alex can care for
Availability
I’m in a flexible stretch right now, doing job-search work, contract work, and projects mostly from home. That means I can usually build my day around walks, drop-ins, or hanging with your pet. I’m best for weekday daytime care, evenings, and some weekends with a little notice. If I have an interview, work call, or trip coming up, I’ll be upfront before booking so there are no surprises.

Safety, trust & environment
I’m pretty careful and communicative by default. I’ll follow your instructions closely, keep dogs leashed unless you explicitly say otherwise, double-check doors/gates, and send updates so you know your pet is good. I’m not going to freestyle with food, treats, medications, dog parks, or anything that could create a weird situation. If I’m in your home, I’ll treat it with the same respect I’d want someone to show mine.
Information Alex B. would like to know about your pet
The more I know about your pet’s normal routine, the better. Please tell me about feeding, medications, leash habits, separation anxiety, triggers, favorite toys, bathroom schedule, and how they do with strangers, dogs, cats, or loud noises. I’d also want vet info, emergency contacts, and any house rules. I’m comfortable with different personalities, but I’d rather know quirks ahead of time than learn them mid-walk.
A typical day
I’ll try to match the day to your pet’s actual personality. Some dogs need a real walk and some play; others mostly want a calm person nearby and a little attention between naps. A typical visit would be fresh water, food if needed, a walk or bathroom break, some play or couch time, and a quick update with photos. I’m very happy to do the boring routine well.

Pet care experience
I grew up with the most incredible yorkie-poo for 16 years, and I've been filling the void by following way too many dog instagram accounts. We have a few absolute dog lovers in the house, we've babysat an Alaskan Klee Kai, and I would do this service for free. Really missing having a dog...he/she will be in great hands! Thus far I've looked after pit bulls, a shar pei, doodles, and a few other mixed breeds of all sizes...so whether you're looking for someone who can handle a big dog or look after a little one, you're taken care of. I'm going to find it hard to get work done because I'll likely spend too much time with your dog. If it's into people food...we've got that covered too.
Reviews

Alex was great with my pup Zoe. He graciously accommodated a very early drop off time and was flexible with me when my flight was delayed coming home. I loved getting some photos while I was away. It was clear that Zoe had a very good time and was kept very busy the whole time -- she slept for a whole day after getting home!!

Excellent job! Very prompt in pick-up and drop-off. Our dog seemed to have a great time.

Alex has been watching my sharpei Bruno regularly for 6 months and he's fantastic! I know Bruno is always in great care and always gets a ton of love and attention.

Alex gets 10 stars in my book! Our dog Griffey was so well cared for and loved while we were away. For 10 days he kept us informed and updated, sent photos of Griffey, and truly made us feel comfortable leaving our dog/baby. He is kind, caring, and responsible. We will 100 percent be using him in the future. I cannot recommend his services enough. If you choose to leave your fur baby with him I can guarantee you will have complete peace of mind while you are away!!
