I’ve been watching and raising dogs since I was a kid! We had shelties growing up, and then some labs, and now I have a doodle named Walter. I have been a part of training these dogs every time, and in Walt’s case, I feel like I raised the best dog! I have also helped with raising friends’ pups, so there is nothing I can’t handle! I don’t personally have a cat, but my girlfriend has one named Mildred. I spend a lot of time with her and she is my favorite ornery old lady. I grew up around cats, as my sister has 3. Let me watch yours so I don’t cave and adopt one for myself!

I will follow whatever instructions you request when watching your pets. I have a strong understanding of when a dog or cat wants some space. I will give them as much love and affection as they want! But I also know when to leave them alone and let them have their space and come to me.

It was our first (and definitely not our last) time having Alex dog sit our 4 dogs. He did an excellent job—we will absolutely book with him again! We received lots of updates and photos while we were away, and when we got back, the dogs were happy and the house was nice and clean. Highly recommend Alex’s services!

Schedule
I currently work in IT in the Des Moines area, so I spend a lot of time working from home. I can work remotely, so as long as I can plug my laptop in somewhere, I can usually be around! Some days do require me to go into office, but I would communicate these days with you and/or just not make myself available on these days.
