Pawsome Care: Reliable & Loving Dog Sitting!

What sets me apart from other dog sitters is a lifetime of hands-on experience with dogs, especially sensitive and high-energy breeds like whippets and Italian greyhounds. I’ve had dogs since birth, caring for them through every stage of life. I’ve handled everything from daily walks and training to managing difficult situations, like nursing my Italian greyhound through a broken leg and administering injections when needed. But more than just experience, what truly makes me different is the love I have for dogs. As an expat living in Germany, I deeply miss my own dog back home. That’s why this isn’t just a job for me—it’s a way to fill that space in my heart by giving your dog the same love, care, and attention I would give my own.

Schedule

I have a full-time job with flexible working hours and the ability to work from home, which allows me to easily integrate pet care into my daily routine. This setup gives me the freedom to plan walks, feeding, and playtime around my schedule, ensuring that every dog I take care of gets the attention they need. I followed the same routine while living in Italy, effortlessly balancing my work with caring for my own dog. Whether it was daily walks, vet visits, or simply spending quality time together, I always made sure my dog’s needs came first. I bring the same level of dedication and flexibility to every pet I look after.

Safety, trust & environment

Safety and trust are my top priorities, whether I’m caring for a pet in my home or at the owner’s home. I always tailor my approach to each dog’s specific needs, respecting their routines and ensuring a calm, familiar environment. When looking after a dog at the owner’s home, I stick to their usual schedule as much as possible to minimize stress and maintain a sense of continuity. If I’m hosting a dog in my home, I create a comfortable and secure space where they feel at ease, ensuring they receive the same level of care and attention they would at home. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, happy, and well cared for, no matter where they are.

A typical day

A typical day with a dog in my care is structured around their needs, energy levels, and personality, ensuring a balance of exercise, mental stimulation, and relaxation. The day would start with a morning walk, tailored to the dog’s energy—whether it’s a brisk walk or a gentle stroll. This helps set a positive tone and burn off early energy. Afterward, there’s time for feeding and hydration, followed by a bit of rest. Midday is perfect for mental stimulation, which could be training exercises, enrichment games, or interactive play, depending on the dog’s preferences. If they enjoy socializing, we might visit a dog-friendly park (with the owner’s approval), or if they prefer one-on-one time, we could play fetch, tug-of-war, or scent-based games at home. In the afternoon, another walk or outdoor break ensures they stay active without overstimulation. The evening is for winding down, with calm activities like gentle play, cuddles, or simply letting them relax in a comfortable space. Throughout the day, I prioritize routine, engagement, and well-being, ensuring the dog feels safe, happy, and cared for at all times.
