Hello! My name is Aleksandra (or Sasha), and I’m a huge dog lover with plenty of hands-on experience caring for dogs. As a dog owner myself, I know how difficult it can be to find someone you truly trust to look after your beloved furry family member, so I’m always happy to answer any questions you may have about me or my experience. I have a 12-year-old dog whom I adopted from Japan over eight years ago, and I’ve also spent many years looking after other people’s dogs, whether hosting them in my home, doing drop-in visits, or taking them for walks. My dog has become a bit of a bossy and stubborn old lady, but she gets along well with other dogs, especially younger ones. I work as a scientist and have a flexible hybrid schedule, which means I can work from home several days a week and adjust my hours when needed. This allows me to check in on your dog, take them for walks during the day, or provide company while you’re away. I met Aleksandra in Japan, where she helped me dog-sit my dog. She has her own dog and is wonderful with other dogs too—my dog PuPu felt completely comfortable with her right away. She's genuinely kind to animals, and it's easy to see how much she loves them. When I moved to the UK with my dog, Aleksandra was incredible—she helped me figure out vaccinations, flights, crate training, and even anti-anxiety medication for the trip. She really went above and beyond; she's an angel. Now in UK, I leave my dog with her whenever I go on holiday(I live in Oxford and she's in Cambridge), because I trust her far more than any pet hotel. My dog is always happy and relaxed around her, which says everything. I highly recommend Aleksandra—she's a wonderful person and a true pet lover.
Sasha is such a loving, kind soul who truly loves dogs, and I knew that my dog Astra would be in such good hands with her. Sasha dog sat Astra for 8 days while we were on holiday, and Astra had so much fun with her and her dog, Kona. She got to go on great walks and sleep on the sofa (which she doesn’t even get to at home!) Thank you Sasha for being Astra’s home away from home. Ingrid

Schedule
I have a hybrid schedule and work from home 2-3 days a week. My office days are usually Monday and Thursday, but can be adjusted if needed. My weekends are usually free, so I can easily help out with walks, drop-in visits, or dog sitting when needed.

Safety, trust & environment
I live in a secure apartment building, so any dogs staying with me will be in a safe and supervised environment. I only take on a limited number of dogs at a time so that I can give each one plenty of attention and make sure they feel comfortable. I’m also available for house sitting, drop-in visits and walks within Saffron Walden, and I’m happy to follow your dog’s usual routine as closely as possible. I have a 12-year-old dog who gets along well with most dogs, although she can be a little bossy sometimes. For that reason, I would prefer to arrange a first meeting in a neutral open space, such as a park area, before any stay in my home. I find that this helps dogs get to know each other more comfortably and makes the experience much smoother for everyone. I’ll always keep you updated with messages and photos, and I’ll make sure your dog is treated with the same care and attention that I give my own.
