Availability

Pet care fits naturally into my routine because I work from home, so I’m around and available throughout the day. That means your pet gets more attention, regular potty breaks, and consistent companionship—not just a quick visit. On a typical day, I can plan morning, midday, and evening walks/potty breaks, plus playtime and feeding around my work schedule. I keep things structured but flexible, so I can match your pet’s routine (especially helpful for puppies, seniors, or pets that need extra check-ins).

Safety, trust & environment

Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or yours, my priority is always the same: safety, routine, and a calm environment. I’m detail-oriented, I follow your instructions closely, and I keep you updated so you feel confident the whole time. In your home (drop-ins / house sitting): I stick to your pet’s normal schedule for feeding, potty breaks, walks, and playtime. I do safety checks (doors/gates secured, leashes/harnesses fitted correctly, no access to unsafe items). I keep the space tidy and stress low—especially for pets who do best in their familiar environment. I send photo/video updates and notes after visits. In my home (boarding / daycare): Calm, supervised environment with plenty of attention since I work from home. Frequent potty breaks, exercise, and structured downtime. I keep pets separated when needed (feeding time, high energy, or if a dog prefers their own space). Only pet-safe areas are accessible—no unsafe foods, small objects, or risky spaces. My safety rules, always: I don’t take dogs off-leash unless it’s a securely fenced area and you’ve approved it. I use positive reinforcement (no harsh methods). I watch for signs of stress or illness and communicate quickly if anything seems off. My goal is for your pet to feel comfortable and for you to feel totally at ease.

Information Alejandra M. would like to know about your pet

Before caring for your pet, I like to learn a few key details so I can keep them safe, comfortable, and on their normal routine: Daily routine: feeding times/amount, walk schedule, potty habits, sleep routine Health needs: allergies, medications, mobility issues, vet info, emergency contact Behavior & temperament: shy/anxious triggers, reactivity to dogs/people, resource guarding, any bite history Training & rules: leash manners, commands they know, crate use, furniture rules Social preferences: okay with other dogs/pets or prefer solo time What comforts them: favorite toys, treats, calming techniques, where they like to relax Home specifics (if in your home): leash location, door/gate quirks, alarm instructions, where cleaning supplies are Permissions: off-limits areas, camera info, emergency treatment authorization, and preferred update frequency I follow your instructions closely, and I’ll always ask if anything is unclear—your pet’s safety comes first.

A typical day

I keep pets happy and engaged with activities that match their energy level, age, and personality—so it’s fun, but never overwhelming. Walks with purpose: sniffy walks, structured leash walks, and exploring safe routes (great mental stimulation). Playtime: fetch, tug, chase games, or gentle indoor play depending on the pet. Brain games: treat puzzles, “find it” sniff games, and simple training refreshers (sit/stay/come) using positive reinforcement. Enrichment breaks: short sessions throughout the day since I work from home—little bursts of fun + calm downtime. Cuddle & chill time: for pets who prefer attention and comfort over high-energy play. Puppy-friendly routines: short walks, frequent potty breaks, basic manners practice, and nap schedules. Senior-friendly options: slower strolls, gentle play, and cozy companionship. Bottom line: I aim for a balance of exercise + enrichment + relaxation so your pet feels content and cared for.

Always Home, Dogs Are My Kids

Pet care experience

I work from home, so dogs in my care are never left alone and always have company, attention, and love throughout the day. They get multiple walks, dog park time, a calm cozy environment, toys, music, and their own comfortable space to relax. They’re also welcome on the furniture and can sleep in bed if that’s what they’re used to. I truly see dogs as family members, not pets. I treat them the way I would treat my own child — with patience, affection, protection, and lots of care. I love having them near me while I work, and I make sure they feel safe, included, and deeply loved every moment they’re here.

Alejandra was an absolute lifesaver! We had another sitter flake on us last minute and Alejandra was more than willing to help us out. Plus, she took such good care of our fur baby! She treated her just like she was her own. We would highly recommend her and will definitely use her again.

Alejandra was so kind and easy to book with when our other sitter fell through right before our wedding. Truly a lifesaver and Petra came home happy and relaxed! It was so great to not worry about our pup during a big day!

5 stars! Amazing sitter — Alejandra took excellent care of my pitbull mix. Sent lots of photos and updates, followed all instructions, and my dog was happy and relaxed when I returned. Highly recommend! I will be using her again in the future and feel very comfortable with her in my home while I am away.

I’m really picky about who watches my baby dog Milo, and Alejandra quickly earned my trust. Alejandra sent a lot of updates and photos and it felt like she actually cared about him, not just doing a job. He got walks and some park time, wasn’t crated, and she let him relax on the couch/bed like he does at home. He came back calm and happy. I’d book with her again.
