Genuine dog lover
I've been taking care of dogs since I was 12 years old, but I've had a love for dogs for as long as I can remember. My first memory developing a close bond with a dog was with a 100-pound Rottweiler at just 6 years old. For over 13 years, I walked, boarded, bathed, and trained dogs for friends, family, and clients across New Jersey, New York, and Massachusetts before finally adopting my own pup in December 2020. While I have had plenty of experience training dogs before adopting Griffyn, I have been able to hone in on both obedience and off-leash training by working on these skills with him and other dogs from my local dog park. I'm also insured in the scenario where anything may happen to your pet while in my care. I do everything in my power to prevent any problems, but there are inherent risks between dog-dog and dog-human interactions. Moreover, I am NOT a licensed kennel and all fees associated with overnight care (Rover calls this "boarding") and day care services are priced on a per-walk basis. Alec was a really great sitter for our high energy dog! You can tell he truly cares about animals and has a deep love for all dogs! He even drove our dog home and was extemelt responsive! It’s nice knowing Alec is near by if we’re ever in a crunch!! Nash is already looking forward to going back to play with his pup!
Alex was great with my cat…she loved him. Spent over 30 minutes every day with her…played and groomed her. She was a happy kitty.
This was our first opportunity to connect with Alec. As the humans involved, our experience was reassuring, engaging and without any concerns. For the 4 legged fur-kid, the experience was outstanding. Alec was fully engaged with our 1 year old weim girl Cali, and, bonus, he brought his 4 legged pal who is now Cali's bff. House and Cali were both in great shape when we got home and I cannot say how conscientious and helpful we found Alec to be.
Excellent sitter
Alec was very easy to communicate with and was very accommodating. I came back to a clean house and happy cat!
Alec did a great job watching our dog Winnie. He is responsive and super nice. I think she was actually sad to come back home!

Schedule
I have recently decided to dedicate my time to care for pets full time, and am looking for the opportunity to provide your family member with the love and care you would expect. I am able to provide morning, afternoon, and evening walks, baths and training when needed, hiking or dog park trips, etc. at your request.

Safety, trust & environment
I cater my care to each individual dog and owner preferences, as some dogs need more attention and contact than others prefer. I go to my local dog park which is a few acres large every day (with my own dog), so I would love to bring your dog here if it's appropriate. I make sure there is constant water and the dog is in a schedule to lower the risk of accidents in the house and make sure the dog is happy and well taken care of :)

A typical day
I love keeping the dogs entertained, which entails taking them on several walks (4-6 per day), hikes, and going to the dog park - if appropriate. I also have a fully fenced in (6-ft high fencing, .3 acres of fenced yard) that the dogs have access to all day. I know a few parks that allow leashed dogs to go on hikes and have a very good relationship with everyone at my dog park. I spend over an hour a day playing fetch and running with my own dog, and I have every intention of giving yours the same amount of love and attention.

- Before sitting a dog, I would need to know their personality. I tend to be very friendly with dogs, but if the dog is reserved and takes a while to warm up to a new person, which I have dealt with before, it would be important for me to know this. I don't have any particular breed preferences, as I truly love every single breed. I have the most experience with: Beagles, Australian Shepherds, Golden Retrievers/Labs, Huskies, Cockapoo, Jack Russel Terriers, Rottweilers, Bull Dog, Poodles, Black Labs, and many more.
