I grew up in a household filled with many pets, mainly dogs (we had nine dogs at one point), as well as cats, reptiles, birds and fish, so caring for pets has always been second nature to me. I’ve recently returned to the UK after a year in Australia, where I discovered my love for pet and house sitting. It quickly became one of my favourite ways to travel, and I’m excited to continue doing it now that I’m back home. I’m a compassionate, considerate, and conscientious person who finds looking after other people’s pets and homes deeply rewarding. I’ve cared for many dog breeds — including spaniels, dachshunds, pit bulls, retrievers, poodles, and greyhounds — each with their own personalities and needs, from lively puppies to gentle seniors. I’m comfortable administering medication and have plenty of experience with anxious pets and rescue animals. I love long walks and hikes, and having a furry companion along for the adventure is always a highlight. When house sitting, I make sure pets feel comfortable and secure in their own space by keeping to their usual routines. Feeding times, walks, favourite toys, bedtime rituals. I treat every home with respect, keep things clean and tidy, and send regular updates so you know your pets are happy and cared for. For dog walks, I tailor each outing to suit their energy and personality, whether that’s a gentle stroll or a lively run around the park. Walks are a great opportunity for exercise and stimulation, so I make sure every dog gets the attention they deserve.

Alec is super professional in every way! He came to meet us and our two spaniels weeks before we left on holiday to introduce himself and get to know us and our dogs. He kept us updated while we were away with the most beautiful photographs of our beloved boys, went the extra mile by taking special care of our home and garden, and gave us complete peace of mind so we could enjoy our time away. He left our house neat, clean and tidy and we cannot recommend him strongly enough!
Alec was great with my dogs. The nervous rescue, who is always scared of men, immediately took to him and I felt completely comfortable both dogs would have a safe and enjoyable walk with Alec. He is caring and confident with dogs, and professional and courteous with owners. Would definitely recommend.

Schedule
I’m self-employed and work remotely, which means I have a very flexible schedule and can be available any day of the week. I can easily fit pet care around my work, allowing me to spend plenty of quality time with your pets throughout the day. Whether it’s a midday walk, playtime, feeding, or simply keeping them company, I’m able to give them the attention they need whenever they need it.
