Availability
I will be in Lewiston, ME between April 20th to May 31st and would love to pick up a few dog walks a week! I am a student at Bates College (living on campus) and will be taking a class Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 10am-1pm starting May 4th. I can provide walks lasting from 30 minutes to an hour ideally before 10am. Evenings and afternoons also work depending on other commitments that day. I am also available to pet sit in the evenings as well (1-2 hours). My schedule is flexible, so feel free to propose what works best for you!

I like to allow my dog to wander around the house whenever he wants (no cages). He likes to go outside in our fenced-in backyard, and we walk him 2-3 times a day depending on his afternoon mood. He is a very happy dog and loves to cuddle! He is also a big ball focused dog, so we love to play with him at the dog park!

Please provide details regarding any special medical requirements, daily medications, or specific triggers and environments your pet prefers to avoid. I have a dog who has sebaceous adenitis (skin condition), so I understand the thorough routine of oral medications, topicals, and baths.
A typical day
I love taking the dogs I look after on walks around the neighborhood or to a park. I like playing with toys as well. This includes throwing a ball, playing tug of war, or even learning a new trick. If they are older dogs, then I will adapt to their schedules and needs for less movement.

Pet care experience
I used to have a pet hedgehog and currently have a dog which I primarily took care of throughout Covid! Now that I am in college, I occasionally dog sit when I’m home. I have a lot of experience with different sized dogs that have various needs (medication, walk schedule, etc).

Alden is hands down the best! I can't recommend her enough. She’s incredibly reliable and you can tell she genuinely loves animals. My dogs were so happy and well-taken care of while I was away. Alden was comfortable with both my big Bernese Mountain dog and my small Cavalier (who is full of attitude). They both were well taken care of. Alden is an excellent carer of pets. She loves animals, having had and cared for both a hedgehog and a dog. She handles walks, feeding, and any other specific pet needs in a very responsible manner. I highly recommend her.
