A reliable home experience
Hello I’m Alba, I’m a mature lady with many years experience in walking and caring for various breeds of dogs. My experience extends particularly with rescue dogs when very little is known about their past, patience and understanding of their anxiety around new people, surroundings and situations is all they ask of us. Our first family dog was a rescue Jack Russell puppy who shared our home with our family cat Lulu. They spent many happy years together once he realised the cat was in charge. I then spent time enjoying the company of my many cats over the years. In 2010 our rescue young Akita-Shepherd joined the family. He soon realised the cat ruled the house but settled in perfectly and they soon shared a loving bond. Sadly, in 2022 we had to say our goodbyes to both our loyal, loving friends but they will always have a place in our hearts. Currently, I take care of my daughter’s two Frenchies who enjoy spending time in my care and getting lots of fuss. They are grandchildren in a furry form. I’m fortunate enough to also spend time with other family members and friends dogs. I have recently retired therefore giving me time and focus to provide a loving environment for all your pets (except reptiles/spiders), whether this is in the comfort of their own home or coming to spend time in my family home. I offer pet owners a reliable, trusting and caring individual who will strive to meet the needs of your precious pets. My profile states boarding one dog at a time but I will take more if they are from the same family. Some bookings do overlap but I always clarify with each owner before accepting a booking. Drop ins or house sitting can be for as many dogs /pets you have in your family. Only pets that I’m unable to care for are reptiles and spiders. Any questions please send me a message.

Alba always looks after our little dog so well. We get regular photos and updates. It’s so reassuring to know that Poppy is happy and well cared for.
Alba was so caring and kind with Chester whilst we were away. Taking him on some lovely adventures and walks. He unfortunately fell ill with sickness for afew days, went off his food etc. Alba went above and beyond looking after Chester, kept us undated with how he was, what he’d eaten, walks he’d been on. Sent lots of pics of him, cooked special food for him to temp him to eat again. Gave him lots of cuddles, made sure he was happy and comfortable. She was soo lovely with him and I would recommend her and wouldn’t hesitate to book her again.
Alba has been amazing! She's taken excellent care of Apollo, was sending updates and pictures everyday and communicating with her overall has been a pleasure. We will definitely leave Apollo with her again 😊

Schedule
As a retired individual I can offer my services throughout the year. I joined Rover in April 2023 and have formed some pretty amazing ing friendships with both pets and owners. Being in the process of retirement allows me to be more flexible with my time.

Safety, trust & environment
At the moment I do not own any pets but I have regular contact with family and friend’s dogs. My garden is fully fenced therefore providing a safe play area for your dog. The area is gated too so your dog will be secure and away from the road . I live in a residential area which has access to some lovely walking areas away from traffic. If your dog enjoys splashing around in water then there is a wonderful walk with a stream running through the area. I’m happy to crate your dog if this is what they are use to as their go to space for down time. My aim is to make your dog feel as comfortable as possible while away from their familiar surroundings.
A typical day
Your dog will enjoy a variety of games from retrieving a ball or stick, playing tug, exploring the nearby fields and parks. Meet up with other dogs in my area (subject to owner approval). I am aware that not all dogs enjoy playing with toys and prefer to just relax. In this case there is nothing better than sharing the sofa with a furry friend. Walks can be short or long depending on your dogs needs.
