I spent much of my childhood helping neighbors and friends care for their pups. My first “job” was in the sixth grade, when after school I walked my neighbor’s dog every day. Since then, I’ve walked countless four-legged friends of all sizes, energy levels, and ages, spent nights with dogs whose owners were away, checked on them as many times per day as is needed, and anything else in between. I have some experience training my family’s puppy, and I’m comfortable administering simple medication with clear information. To me, the most important part of dog care is understanding what the pup needs and how he or she feels.
